View Full Version : Insulin approved!!!! Steve&kids 07-28-2002, 10:05 PM Everytime I would go visit Stephanie I would get there at 8am and leave at 3pm.I have to take insulin every 4 to 6 hours and was not allowed to bring it with me in the prison and my blood sugar would go really high. Just got a letter in the mail stating I have been approved to bring it in and I can bring two needles also.Steve&kids 38special 07-28-2002, 10:29 PM Mr. Steve: Congratulations! I hope, you can continue with your prescribed medication. Remember, take your "letter of approval" for a few visits along with your medication. My brother is a type 1 diabetic and had the same problem when visiting . I'm sure this will relieve some stress which can also increase you sugar level. I DON'T HAVE TO TAKE AS MUCH INSULIN BECAUSE THEY ARE TRYING TO BACK ME OFF IT AND PUT ME ON A PILL..... BUT, I CANNOT TRAVEL ANY LENGTH OF TIME WITHOUT SWELLING AND NOT BEING ABLE TO WALK...
