Did anyone get a call from Terre Haute USP today? I was expecting one, and I'm just wondering if there are issues with the phone or if Sundays maybe it's hard to use it. Otherwise, I got blown off! Pfft!

I doubt if you were blown off....I know that things are really kinda crazy at the USP and I'm sure that its just a matter of getting to the phone or maybe even not getting out of the cell time at all...who knows....that place seems to always have something going on there that keeps them from doing something....He will call the second he can get that phone in his hand, trust me, they LIVE for those 15 mintues! HE'll Call Just gotta sit there and be patient...You'll have to do alot of that, waiting trying to be patient.....sometimes it really bites! but its all worth it when the phone finally does ring and its really him.....Hang in there.....

it's possible there's something going on with the phones, i talked to my guy last night and he said he'd call me in the morning, and it's 6:30 now, so at first i just thought he got busy and would call tonight, but maybe since you guys noticed something too, there might be something wrong with the phones

I was supposed to get a call today too and was worried sick. Talked to him last night at 9 and haven't heard from him at all today. Hopefully there is no lockdown or anything. I guess we will know soon. Hang in there WE CAN MAKE IT!!

They are on lockdown. I drove over 2 hours to get there and they were on lockdown. I got a call last night before they were locked in for the night to make sure I was coming today so something must have happened this morning. Of course when I called there to make sure they were having visits the phone just rang and rang and rang.

wow that's weird cause he always calls me to tell me they are on lockdown, there must have been a quick lockdown that he couldn't get to the phone :(

I recieved a call from my man today from USP Terre Haute, but I wasn't home at the time. My sister took a message for me. She said that when she answered the phone, there wasn't any "press 5" or any recording either. It was a straight call. He asked to speak with me, and when she told him I wasn't home, he told her to tell me to call him mother. The first thing I noticed, was that the call was made from the prison office!!!:eek: He has NEVER called me like that before. I can't get ahold of his mother.:confused: He hasn't called back!!!!!! I am very worried. What would be some of the reasons why he would be allowed to call from the office like that? Just be straight with me and tell me like it is if you guys have any advice. Anything would help...even if it is not so pretty...

Sorry to hear you going through this star I would feel the same too, Just keep trying to contact his mother most probably he spoke to her before he called your place and she has the news. Yeah it doesnt look good but than again keep thinking positive I know its hard.

I am sure something is wrong with the phone line I was expecting a call from my man this morning we had arrange it but he hasnt called unlike him.:confused: Ok stay positive keep trying his mum

Thank you so much for caring.:) I still haven't heard from his mother. There isn't an answer when I call. It might be something with his father or mother. I also thought that perhaps he is being transferred. I don't know too much about those things. I just hope it wasn't something I might have written on accident in a letter, that might have me forbidden to contact him anymore. I doubt it, but one never truly knows. I just don't know why they would have given him permission to do that. It's weird. Does it always have to be an emergency? Would they let him call if I accidentially got him in trouble?

Hey I got a call a couple of times from the counselor's office from my man once was because I did not show up for a visit and he told her he wanted to check to see if I was ok. The other time was he ran out of his minutes and he well lets just say that when we ended our converstaion I was very mad so he told her that I was breaking up with him. I don't want to say her name but his counselor Mrs. L is one nice person. I am sure nothing is wrong did he run out of his minutes. just call his counselor tomorrow. I hope everything is ok

I finally talked to his mother!!:D She had been out grocery shopping all day and couldnt answer the phone for obvious reasons.:rolleyes: But, we still don't know why he called like that. I am sure its like you said. He mabye ran out of minutes and had something important going on. I guess I should just cool my jets and either wait for a note in the mail or call the counsular tomorrow. I suppose if it is sooooooooo important, his mother or I will hear from him again.:D Once again, I thank everyone here for being so supportive.:thumbsup:

One good thhing did come from all of this. I had a great conversation with his mom!!:) I got to hear all the dirt on him from when he was a child!:):) She told me theat he talks about me all the time. And, he has an elderly penpal that has a crush on him. It was cute. I still haven't heard from him. So, I will just answer his letters and ask him through the mail. And of course, I will tell him how worried I have been!!! That should get me a phone call! Shouldn't it?:)

Yea girl I am sure everything is ok with him if not you would have gotten another call. Glad to hear that everything is good with his mom, I know I love to hear stories about my man when he was a kid.:)

I'm sure everything is alright...just keep calm!! My man has called me straight thru from his counselor's office before cuz he didn't have money to add minutes to his phone account. But I know how you feel...when I saw the BOP on the caller ID and heard his voice say hey without any operator crap, I was kinda confused and worried...lol plus he was talkin all low!! But come to find out..he just wanted some money!!! lol

Hi good to hear that you have spoken to his mum Star:) I am wondering is there a lockdown or the phone is not working in USP T.H. I havent heard from my friend suppose to call me Friday morning here Thursday avo there. Has anyone got calls or know of anything:(

God lets hope not cuz it 3am and I am getting ready to leave to go see him I will try to start calling but we all know, know one ever answers there so wish me luck.

Nope no lockdown I went to see him today I just love to see him it makes my whole week seeing him.:):):):):):):):):):):)

I got 3 brief calls today and I get to go see him on Sunday and I can't wait. Hopefully they have all the vending machines working.

the one is not working you know which one that is the other chips and cookies vending machine. But they are stocked.
