Okay, I'm so confused right now. My boyfriend is waiting to leave Kilby. For the last two days I've been getting a call to set up a prepay account with GLT. The first time I didn't make it to the phone. The second day the call said an inmate at Limestone is attempting to call or something like that. Today I checked the ADOC and it said he was still at Kilby and it is updated as of today. I called Limestone and they said he wasn't there. I called Kilby and the lady from records said he's still there but the odd thing is I haven't heard from him. We usually write daily and I get a letter from him at least 3 or 4 times a weeks. This week I got a letter on Monday and nothing else. I called glt and they're suppose to be calling me back. I guess I just need to wait it out. Maybe I'm over reacting :(

The ADOC website inmate search is updated every Friday. They can be transferred at any time (normally they transfer early in the mornings). The new ADOC phone system is set up thru Globel Tel link. Hopefully you will get a letter from him or a phone call soon.

Global Tel Link....I was able to set up an account using my credit/debit card for your choice of either $25 or $50 prepaid. They take out $4 for a fee and the rest is there for him to call you. It took me less than five minutes, fully automated system. Okay so that was over a week ago. I sent a letter to W and told him to try it when he got a chance. Well, during the past week, he was moved to Kilby, then to Limestone. The GTL account I set up has followed him. It doesn't matter what ADOC facility he calls you from -- the GTL account registers your telephone number and works within 24 hours. I'll post a thread about this for everybody else, because this one thing worried me to death. Only thing I don't like about are the calls have had static coming in and out about five times during the call, never lost the call, but sounded like a fuzzy radio station for two seconds, or ten seconds. Rest of the call was great and best part -- I won't be getting a bill in the mail. Let me know if you need help!
