My guy is serving a 10 month sentence in Ontario. He has been told that his parole eligibility date is December 2nd. Is this the date that the process can be started or does the paperwork start before that and the 2nd is when he could possibly be out? Also, what can I be doing out here to help the process along?
He has an appeal of his sentence in the works right now so it's quite possible that he will be out before that date but I want to be prepared for the next step if things don't go his way at the appeal hearing.

Well I guess I should have waited another day before I posted that. I just got off the phone with someone from the parole office who wants to do a home visit next week. So that answers my own question doesn't it? :D
