Hey I finally get to go and see my sweetie next week I am excited. :D I just hope that I will be able to find Clio pretty easy. I am coming from Chattanooga TN so I know the drive is going to kill me, but he is worth it. Does anyone know how long it takes from the AL/TN line to get there? Also does anyone know the shortest route for me to take? What are you allowed to wear when visiting? This is the first time I have ever been to a prison so I dont know what to expect. Please some advice. THANK YOU

Hi Ronaldsbaby!! First of all, WELCOME TO THE EASTERLING FORUM!! My fiance is also there. Okay...you can't wear white. I've seen a couple of folks wearing a white t at visit before...but, the rules sheet specifically says no solid white clothing. No flip flops or "soft soled" shoes, the ONLY jewelry you can wear is a wedding set or band...if you have one. Your shirts can't be v or square neck...or low cut PERIOD!! They've told me before that you can't wear gauchos. You can wear capris...but, they have to be close to the ankles. No see through shirts, either.

When you go in they're gonna pat you down, have you shake out your bra and IF you have socks and shoes on...you'll have to take them off so they can see there's nothing in them. Other than that...it's NO BIGGIE! This time last year was the very first time I'd ever visited a prison, too. I was nervous as could be. But, it's really no biggie. You'll have LOTS of nerves going in...but, pretty soon..they disappear!

As for your drive...I live near Auburn...so, I don't have far to drive at all. I know one of the other gals around here lives in North Alabama and she said it takes like 5-1/2 hours from where she is. I'm guessing you're looking at 6 to 6-1/2 hours from the state line.
