This is a copy of the Site Wide Announcement that you may or may not have already read at the top of all the forums. I am also placing a copy here in the Lounge for all to read since I am having a problem with the mass emailing feature of this site at the moment.

If you have never had any significant problems here at PTO with the Policies or other members, there really is not a need for you to read this other than for informational purposes. Unfortunately, there are a few that do so I am putting it up for all to see and understand.

I am completely fed up with some of the drama, petty persecutions and cliquishness that have been going on recently at PTO. This community was created for PRISONER & FAMILY SUPPORT, N-O-T as a Battle Ground Soap-Opera for those that don’t have anything better to do with their time than argue, take aggressive stances against others and regularly show up in the middle of conflicts.

Everyone that assists in the running of PTO is a volunteer and all of us have been wasting an incredible amount of time trying to mediate and review the fights and other “issues” that have been taking place recently. I fully understand that considering the size of PTO people are not always going to get along, but I do expect everyone to act like adults and if you don’t like something you read, you either discuss it in a reasonable manner or ignore the thread, post and the person that made it.

Everyone has MORE than enough negativity & stress to deal with relating to their personal interactions with the prison system. Having it crop up in the support community where they come to relax and turn to for help is more than just a little unwelcome by others, and now completely unacceptable to me.

Consider this fair notice to anyone who is having “problems” dealing with the Policies and Sanctity of this community. It will be tolerated NO LONGER. I will be removing (permanently) anyone and everyone that the administration deems to be “trouble makers” here. If you don’t agree with the rules or what we have laid out, you are welcome to leave on your own accord, or continue creating and getting involved in conflicts and we will do it for you. This is NOT open for discussion and it’s ready for testing for those who might have doubts about my resolve in this matter. There will be NO more warnings given.

Further, I am well aware of the background issues, antagonism and scheming that has been going on beyond the main forums and outside of PTO. This type of activity will also not be tolerated. Anyone plotting or trying to get others to “gang up” against any other PTO member, either on this site or another, will be removed from this community.
We cannot and will not police what happens in other communities BUT if it is apparent that you are going after someone that is also a member here, especially if it’s an altercation that started here, you are not the type of member that we want at PTO.

Bottom line and very simply put: Trouble Makers are NOT welcome at PTO.

Some of you may consider this heavy handed and that is fine. My priority is to PTO and our community as a whole – NOT to the people that can’t seem to stay out of any trouble that comes up.

For all of you that have no problem with the policies and most of the people here (99% of the community!) - Thank You! I understand it is never going to be completely smooth sailing with such a diverse group of people, and often there will be times when we don’t all get along, but you have proven that it is not only possible, but something that can be done on a daily basis…. And it is very much appreciated!!
