My Pen Pal recently has been transferred to USP Terre Haute....does he have a "fish tank" waiting time before he can receive books or packages?

Also, how many books can I send him at one time?

I don't know the answer, but you could check the BOP website and see what you can send. I would probably give it a few more weeks before I send them. I haven't sent any books either(feeling bad)! Well, if there is anything else I can't help you with, just let me know. HA! Hope his transition goes well.

i have no idea how quickly you can send books, i would assume that you could at any time. I don't know the limit of books, but keep in mind that they also have limited storage space, i think it's just a small locker. So honestly, i'd only send like MAYBE 5 if i were you. I've only sent him one book for his birthday. One idea though is if you use Amazon, they give you free shipping if your order is over $25, so maybe get him like 2 or 3 books that will equal 25 and you won't have to pay shipping :)

besides, you can always send more later, better to not overwhelm him all at once, i'd say send him like 2 or 3, let him finish those up, and then send more

My man is in Terre Haute also and I have been thinking about sending him some books too. I hear that is kinda popular since we can't send too much else. Are they able to get rid of their books to someone else or the library when they finish...to save space? I was thinking that mabye if they did, that would be good because I could make it a regular thing for him. Do you think that would work inkedchick?

yeah they give each other books..it's not a problem
