wHO CAN HELP ME ? Need to send money via western union quick collect, blue form. Only obstacle is, the company name must be known by western union, and harris county sheriffs office , is not known...but on their website it says they accept western union quick collect. Further it just gives a mail adress, so without the way they are registered , i cannot send money. He needs it day after tomorrow by the latest !

The Harris County Jail is operated by the county, so there is not a name of a private vendor.

While there may be additional expense for you to call the county, I would suggest calling them to get the necessary information- I'm sure they deal with posting those funds on a daily basis and that you will not be the first to have asked the question.

Tried calling past days....answer is that the company code is ITF.....Not recognised. Tried TXITF, not recognised. Tried HSITF, all unknown. Company name not recognised. Tried all options.....Lines are probably continual too busy, get fast busy tone like ALL the time..No operator at all available...

When I sent money Western Union to the County I filled out the form like this :

Pay To : Inmate Trust Fund
Code City ITF
Sender's Accoount number : The Spin #

When I used to do the quick collect it was ITF also, But the place I got it said they were changing it...Call Harris county 713-755-5300 they will tell you...:) Hope this helps!!

I'm curious whether some of the problem could surround willemyn's attempt to send funds from outside of the US.

Just to check, I looked at the Western Union online capabilities, and ITF entered as the code city and TX as the code state returned "INMATE TRUST FUND HARRIS CTY"

However, on the online form, it did not appear to be set up to recognize non-US sending locations. I'm not sure what additional fields might be present for the overseas transfer of funds.

Found the answer......You CANNOT use the blue form at all to send money to this particular jail from outside the US.
Just what I need offcourse. PS tried all options above and the jail at 5300 phone nr, not even when I speak to someone from the trust fund , know that you cannot do this.
