In Alaska, Are we allowed to send blank stationery and greeting cards for the inmates to use? Along with envelopes, of course.

And can we send envelopes with an address label with our guy/girl's address on it. I thnk that would be a sweet gesture,...make them feel special.

i don't see why you couldn't send stationary. but you could always call the institution to find out for sure.

I realize this is an old post, but I'm replying in case it might help someone else. :)

I believe it varies from one institution to the next. As I understand it at FCC they don't let anything be sent in that can be purchased from the commissary, but I think at the Anchorage Jail that's different. Check out www.correct.state.ak.us/correct/institutions/ (http://www.correct.state.ak.us/correct/institutions/) and find the mail info for wherever your loved one is at. Or like Cody's girl said just call them...the web info isn't always up to date or entirely accurate in my limited experience.

As far as address labels I'm pretty sure those aren't allowed at most places. I think they're considered "stickers." But I could be wrong...happened once;)
