ok so im totally new to this. new to everything about the prison life.....i just found out a couple months ago that my friend is locked up at chuckawalla.....i finally decided to write him bc i didnt know if it was a "good idea"too....but i got the courage and wrote him. i recieved a letter back from him and jan 08 will be 2 years for him since hes been in. i have no idea when he gets out. i wrote him again so im just waiting for his next letter. we dated for awhile back in the day and we lost contact and now i find all this out. its so crazy to me. im still in disbelief. anyway.....i really want to go see him but im scared bc i dont know what to expect. i dont know what "yard" hes in. Im scared to drive by myself. ive read a couple things about the prison on here and visiting but still.....if anyone can PLEASE give me any info i would appreciate it. ANYTHING????? and i heard he cant call with a calling card. is that true? i def dont want him calling my moms home line collect. how can i talk to him on my cell without it charging a whole ton of money. btw...i live in so cal!!!

CHUCKIE IS THE FIRST PRISON AND JUST FOLLOWING THE FOLKS TO THE PROCESSING BUILDING. I GET THERE AT 7:30 AND I'M IN THE VISITING ROOM BY 9:30AM. PICTURES ARE $2.00 AND ARE PURCHASED IN THE VISITING PROCESSING ROOM. IF YOU HAVE ANY MORE QUESTION JUST LET ME KNOW.

I think at chuckawalla vists are from 8:30-2:30 Sat and Sun

there are 5 yards A,B,C,D and F. VISITING IS FROM 8:30 TO 2:45 PROCESS FOR VISITING STARTS AT 8:AM EVERYONE IS PROCESSED OUT OF VISITING BY 3:PM. I LEAVE MY HOUSE AT 4:45-5:00AM. AFTER I GET OUT OF THE CAR LINE WHICH TAKES ANYWHERE FROM 20-30 MINUTES THE WHOLE PROCESS FOR ME IS ABOUT 1 1/2 HOURS AND I'M USUALLY NUMBER 66, 67, OR 68. I THINK A AND B YARDS SHARE AND C AND D YARDS SHARE F IS SOMEWHERE ELSE I THINK THE CO DRIVES YOU TO THAT YARD FOR VISITING...BUT I'VE NEVER PAID TO MUCH ATTENTION TO THAT.....

I'M INCLUDING THE TIME I'M IN THE CAR LINE YOU'LL SEE WHAT I MEAN WHEN YOU GO......THERE ARE TWO PRISON A LOT OF THE FOLKS GO TO ISP

while visiting you are in a large room or you can go out on the patio. yes you can hold hands. your only suppose to kiss and hug at the beginning and at the end of the visit... yes wearing the white pants/capri and black shirt should be fine...make sure you can't see through the pants.....

i suppose you can just show up as long as your approved that's your call:confused:
how long do you normally sit there until your number is called? do you mean in the processing room (1-1 1/2 hour) or visiting room? (10-15 minutes) and why are you guys in the visiting room first....shouldnt the inmates be in there waiting for you? they call them once your in the visitin room.:confused: :confused: :confused:
