OK PTO MEMBERS, MEN AND WOMEN, I HAVE BEEN HANDED A CHALLENGE. I APPROACHED THE ADMINISTRATORS ABOUT OPENING A FORUM AS A SUPPORT GROUP FOR THOSE OF US THAT HAVE, AND ARE HAVING ISSUES RECOVERING FROM A BROKEN HEART, OR THOSE OF US THAT FEEL WE MAY BE HEADING DOWN THAT ROAD. I REALIZE ALL SITUATIONS ARE DIFFERENT AND NO ONE WILL BE EXCLUDED FROM THIS!!! I WILL BE POSTING A LINK AND ALSO MY PROPOSAL. WHAT I NEED YOU TO DO, IS IF YOU THINK YOU MAY BE ABLE TO USE A GROUP LIKE THIS OR THINK THAT IT MAY BE USEFULL TO OTHERS :

PLEASE POST TO THE THREAD "FORUM FOR THE BROKEN HEARTED" IN THE SITE SUGGESTIONS AND FEEDBACK FORUM. IF YOU CAN'T FIND IT PM ME AND I WILL SHOW YOU THE WAY. ADMINISTRATION WANTS TO SEE FOR ITSELF HOW MUCH OF A NEED THERE IS FOR THIS! LETS SHOW THEM!!! IF NOT IT WILL NEVER BE OPENED.

HERE IS MY ORIGINAL PROPOSAL, AND PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO RESPOND, EVEN IF IT IS JUST THE WORDS "I AGREE!"

And I realize that your situation may even be different, what ever the situation you are in you are welcome!!!!!!!!

Forum For The Broken Hearted???
Just a thought, that we have an area for those of us that have been through the system, with someone in the system, and haven't quite made it.

Not as a bashing forum, but as a place for us to be able to help eachother in this situation, that no one else could understand. Who can you turn to in a situation like this? The public sure doesn't understand this, let alone what we were doing with that person to begin with. And to go to the husbands/boyfriends or wives/girlfriends forum, alot of us don't want to "rain on everyone elses parade" so to speak.

From experience I can vouch for the fact that a breakup with an inmate is unbearable ~ to say the least! Especially if you aren't allowed any closure. If you are with an inmate for any length of time, you have given your soul, then all of a sudden your world is turned upside down from an unexplained breakup, it is hell. ANY break up is hard, but when it involves an inmate that is a whole 'nother ballgame. Some of us aren't given any closure, no letter, no call, and visits refused. Some of us stand by these inmates to find out that we have been "pulled in the car" as they say, and used for material things, money, and visits. This can really have an effect on ones views of inmates, when in reality that isn't fair either when there are genuinly good people in there that would TRULY appreciate that persons companionship. I think we could use a spot for this kind of support and understanding so we can grieve and move on with life, when life feels so unbearable!

I know I myself, after losing a ten year relationship just recently am having a hell of a time with this, and could really use a forum such as this!!! IN A BIG WAY!!!!
