I did post this question on the immigration forum, but I am looking for anyone with info that can help. How do I find out for certain that he is flagged for deportation? I have not contacted the prison because I am uncertain that that is information that they can share me, although I am the victim. He is serving 7 years for extreme bodily inj and spousal abuse, and I have been informed that any violent offense is an automatic removal from the U.S. when they are not citizens, which he is not. Is anyone dealing with this issue/concern as well?

I'm not up on the law in that area, but I'm sure you could call ICE and get clarification . . . they would certainly know.
