My boyfriend is in reception at DVI. He needs me to send some supplies and it is impossible to get any information about mail guidelines at DVI! I know I can send lined paper up to 500 sheets and two Bic Crystal ballpoint pens per manilla envelope. How many envelopes can I send? Can I send stamps? If so, how many? Can I send unsharpened pencils? If so, how many? Thanks to anyone who can help me.

No pencils. You cannot send that much paper at a time. It is too heavy. I only sent 150 sheets because that is a pound by itself. You can send 20 envelops and 20 stamps, 2 pens, and 20 blank postcards.

My son just went to DVI last Friday and I called main# 209-835-4141, and then put in extension# for mailroom. Then extension#s are: 5670 or 5673. They are there Monday through Friday only, during business hours. I was told that I could send 40 first class stamps, 40 business size envelopes, or 20 prestamped envelopes, 1 8 1/2 x 11 writing tablet or 500 lose sheets binder paper, 1 clear blue or black bic pen, 3 lead pencils (any color), 15 pictures(no polaroids), this can be sent weekly.
I was also told that I can send him books, but must be sent from bookstore(Barnes & Noble or Amazon.Com). I was also told that I could have magazines sent as well, also newspapers sent from newspaper company.
