i might go to amkc c95 in a couple days, but its my first time at rikers period. any advice, stories... wud be appreciated.... thnks

You have problably already visited since you posted on 9/11 ..but from my exp - The waiting room is COLD & always freezing! The process is sloowwww because it's always crowded, sometimes lockers arent available and it's dirty. Used to visit my ex there and I hated it!

If you do go, bring a sweater w/ you to keep on while u wait for your loved one to get ready for the visit, be prepared to wait, you might get sniffed by a dog for drugs (happens randomly to the visitors), the c/o's arent exactly friendly, but they arent horribly mean.

The visits last an hour (sometimes a little bit shorter) and instead of the co's giving you your visiting paper back, they use a bullhorn megaphone/loudspeaker & announce which tables have to end their visit.

thnks a lot for ur reply, but i havent visited, we had a fight n broke up but i still miss him soo much and havent seen him in like 2 months and im worried cuz i havent even spoken to him in about 2 weeks, but i jus chcked today n he was moved to OBCC...so now i may have to go there...but thanks again
