First of all I have just regestered last week and don't know if I am at the right place. I want to thank Rose for the warm welcome.
My son has been down 23 years and just this week is being sent to Solona2 the call it. We have done time in Folsom,Soledad,Corrcarn, back to Soledad, then to Vacaville and now to Solono. My son is now a level 2 lifer. Anyone out there no what he can expect in this new move.

Actually, I like Solano.. Its really HOT but its not as bad as some other Prisons. He should be okay.. I actually live right by you.. If you need any information, feel free to PM me! Good luck!

Welcome to PTO jackies38!!! My boyfriend is at Solano. There are four yards at Solano. If your son is on either yard three or four, you have to take a shuttle to the other side of the prison. Yards one and two you can just walk right into the visiting area. Although you do have to register at the main office. Do you know what yard your son is on? It's pretty laid back in Solano. The CO's are nice, but there are a few that are not.

I am trying to find out info before my husband gets transferred. He is at CMF now. Would I have to reapply for visiting or is it good still? What are the days and hours of visiting? Can you visit as much as you like or are you limited to one day a weekend? Is there visiting on Fridays? He will most likely be going into the SAP program, so I have no clue how that is. He is a level 1 but going as level 2. I am hoping that someone can help me with these questions. I don't want the generic for all prisons. Just Solano. Any questions answered would be great.

Hi Sjohn, Jackie here. My first post to you disappeared while typing.. Anyway if you were approved at Vacaville you are good to go at Solano..... Visiting hours are the same as Vacaville.My son who has been down for a great many years says to always call the day you are planning to visit. For Solano call 707-451-0182 ext.3266 Hope this helps.
