I am new to this site, my husband is at Ironwood but is being transfer to chucky next week and I wanted to ask anyone that can help. What I need to do once he is transfer am I to complete another application to visit him, when will I be able to have contact visit and most important our family visit was coming up on September 22nd :( (sad) but there is nothing we can do about that now so I was wondering if any of you lady’s know the process on getting a family visit, how long do I have to wait, who should I call at chucky will i have to pay again, what happens with he money we had paid for our 9/22 visit? and or what should I do. so many questions sorry about that :confused: Your help and advice would be gratefully appreciated.

WOW! I think everything transfers with him w- exception of the FV date. Have you attempted to talk with his counselor? I would call the prison and keep asking questions... perhaps try to get through to the FV coordinator or get someone in visiting to give up the 411!:thumbsup: Good luck! BTW... I think Chucky's has better FV accommodation's, you might have to wait a minute longer but hopefully the food and bedding will be better;) !

i heard chuckies fv are every 45 days i got that from reading post in here...

yes I have called family visit but I think Garcia is still out on vacation and hernandez is not around. I also called deputy Overman at chucky who told me that after my husband gets classified (2weeks) he should see his counselor and get the paper work for family visit then he would get us a date according to him it should not be long sense there is less people BUT as you all know things change all the time.

All I can do is pray that the transition will be smooth. Iam thankful to have a place were we can post our worries, confusion, happy news and so on.:thumbsup: thanks again

Welcome to ISP/Chucky and PTO! I remember a lady on here that got a FV really fast at chuckys but cant remeber her name. Try to search, and maybe you can PM her. Good luck.

Hi Mel, it's kind of funny cause i had a feeling you were talking about me way before you posted my name :D ! So let me put in my :twocents: !! Family visits at Chucky are every 45 days. We got our date approx a week an ahalf after my husband put in the paperwork to his couselor. When you apply the 1st time you need to send the counselor your original marriage license and if you have kids their original birth certificate along with a self addressed stamped envelope so that he could mail them back to you. Oh yeah, also the counselor asked for my original birth certificate. Why?? I don't know... :confused: That made 0 sence to me! Since i am the wife not one of his children... Anyways he needs to have all the documents before anything can get done. Your husband turns in the application along with the menu. The money you were going to use for your visit on the 22nd should transfer with him, if not give it a couple of days. All your hygiene, makeup, toothbrush has to be brand new, in its original container/packaging. 0 underwire bras, and 0 langerie, none what so ever is allowed. (No babydolls, nighties, garterbelts, corsets, nightgowns, teddies) You can take in nice sexy pajamas but they can't be silky, 0 Silky stuff!:angry: I did ALOT of shopping around :D !! They really look at your clothes so you won't be able to take anything in for your husband. 0 razors! :mad: They literaly go by the rules when it comes to what you can and can't bring in. The units are nice and clean, sheets are in pretty good shape, the mattress is an actual mattress, not one of those uncomfortable plastic ones :yuck: ! Make sure you take 2 towels, the ones there are in really, really bad shape. Before i went on my 1st visit the family visiting officer told me to bring my own because even she wouldn't use the ones they had there :haha: And she was right, they were damp and you can tell they had folded them and put them away while still wet! They smelled like wet rags!! :yuck: Anyways i hope this helped you some, if you have any more questions feel free to ask. :) I don't really post, but i am on here on a nightly basis! One more thing, for our 1st family visit we only had like 1 weeks notice. I wasn't even able to mail the family visiting officer the confirmation paper because she was not going to get it on time. I took it with me and hand delivered it to her. :) Since i followed the rules on the paper to a T, it went pretty smooth. Check in is at 0915 and i was in there with my hubby 10 minutes later!! :) They are on it!! :) Good Luck!!

Susieg76 your message was very helpful!! Wow no lingerie, no baby dolls I cant believe that :eek: . your right that will be hard to shop for :confused: . I am glad you mentioned all those things to me usually I buy him shirts, boxers ect and I don’t want to go waist money if I wont be able to bring it in. it sure sound like a strict place down at chuckies. I just have a few more questions if I may I will PM you.

My first 2 were 45 days apart and it was so nice, the next one seemed a millions years away!

Yeah that is me right now i'm just like what ever with out 2 in 4 yrs. i will just wait til he comes home something always seems to go wrong
