Does anyone know anything about this Prison Calls Online? The banner posted on the main page. I filled out a app. but I don't know anything about it. Will it save me money on my calls. Especially, since I am now having to prepay which I don't understand. Because Global Tel was billing me threw my long distance carrier. Does anyone have any recommendations. This is costing me a small fortune. Thanks everyone.

They still haven't gotten your phone fixed, Steph??? That is just crazy that you've been able to use it just fine up until this past week or so!! Seems to me it's something on the phone company's end...not Easterling's (AMAZINGLY enough:eek: ). But, that's just MHO!! I'm never used PCO...I know several around here that do. I've been under the impression that PCO is more cost efficient if your loved one is out of state. I may be wrong, though. I know I only pay about 4.50/call from R. From what I've heard from others...it's considerably more with PCO. Good luck finding a provider!! I know this is driving you bonkers!!

Well, I just got off the phon with GT. They reset my phone. Appears it was showing that I went over there max for 30 days, which is $200. I told them I just got my phone bill and it was NOT $200, so they took the block off. This has been such a pain. It is a great $6.75 for every call I get from my love. This is just robbery. Atleast they have it fixed now. I think we are going to cut back to calls every other day instead of everyday. LOL Did you get to go visit this weekend? How is your love? For Everyone who uses Global tel> THERE IS A 7 DAY LIMIT, 14 DAY LIMIT & 30 DAY LIMIT. SO WATCH OUT THEY WILL GET YOU! LOL

THANKS for that heads up about Global Tel. Now that you mention it...it seems as though I've read around here or been told about that limit! Sorry, I didn't think of that sooner. Your calls are 6.75?!?! I wonder why they're over 2 bucks more than mine. Could be the distance away that you live. R only calls on Sunday nights. We'd both LOVE for him to call more, of course. But, we limit it to one night a week...which he still calls 2 or 3 times that night. Would make more sense if he called one time every 3 or 4 days, I know:D !! *lol*
Yes, I got to visit...it was ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! My mom being so sick right now has taken an emotional toll on me. He knows that and babied me the whole time!! It was a REALLY GOOD visit...just TOOOO SHORT!! The time flew by!! Hope you have another GREAT visit with your love this weekend!!! I'm sure you will, though:thumbsup: !!!

You know something weird....my hubby is in bullock and when he called yesterday it still said correctional billing in the spill they give you before you can connect the call.....

I go through Global Tel, when they took over for MCI they dropped my calling limit to $100. I use to have a $250 limit. I really dont care to much for GT because they dont answer there phones and their closed on the weekends. I pay $3.70 for each call which last for 15 minutes.

Hey, I wish my calls were only $3.75. My limit with evercom was much more. Now we are having to limit our talk time, which I hate. I would talk to him for hours if I could. I am having a really rough week. I just miss him so much. I wish I could make the pain stop.

Wow, I could only hope for that amount for a phone call. I called Global tel today and I don't have to set up a prepaid account but they told me the cost of the calls would be 4.84 connection and .89 min. after. That is 17.30 per call. I am one state over. That sounds really outrageous to me.:angry:

okay i put 50 on the prepaid and paid 10.00 to send it , my friend Tony called once 15 mins , and they said i couldnt get a 2 nd call cuz there wants enuff funds left ,, he is getting ready to have a nech surgery so this was a special occasion for when he came from the Dr he knows i cant afford ,, so it is all good ,, but expensiveness is totally off the hook !!

They had Global Tel when R was in county. I was able to get my calls to my cell. I just reactivated my account last week and added money to it...but, R can't call. It just keeps saying my provider doesn't accept the calls. That's BS...I spoke with an actual person who reactivated my acct PLUS...we've already used this service before. Granted, it's been a little over a year...but, I NEVER had any problems last year with it. Don't know what's going on! :confused:
