View Full Version : New Countdown
wysiwyg 09-03-2007, 09:26 AM I've been keeping quiet about this for a while now but I can't keep it to myself any longer: Cal has been granted home detention. He'll be coming home in two weeks. Hence my new count down.
I know that some of you are still battling 'the system' so I won't labour the point but, to say I'm excited is putting it mildly.

wysiwyg 09-04-2007, 05:30 AM Thanks Katy & Roz,
I am beside myself with excitement. Haven't done a lot in preparation though. I'm a terrible procrastinator and by the time I get home from work I'm too tired to do anything. I'll be stocking the pantry and doing some cleaning before he comes home although somehow I don't think he's going to take an awful lot of notice of my housekeeping when he gets home. I think he might be a bit preoccupied with me http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/11/11_2_114.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZN) and the dogs.
He misses the dogs terribly - he's such a softie - especially his special boy who was the first puppy we got when we moved in together. They bonded very quickly and are inseparable. I can't wait to see the reaction from his special boy http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_22_11.gif (http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb001_ZN) when he comes home. I will probably have to wait a while before I get my man all to myself but after waiting this long I can wait just a little while longer.
nortynou 09-04-2007, 07:31 AM Oh Wissy, I am so excited for you! I am near beside myself!! Make sure that you don't leave us once he gets home!! Please keep us updated all the time about this process and how it is for you.
All my love to you and Cal!! :)
JD's_DingoGirl 09-04-2007, 08:20 AM Oh Wissy that's fantastic news! Congradulations! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hope it all goes smoothly, & you'll be in his arms before you know it (well, after he's put the dogs down, of course hehehe).
wysiwyg 09-05-2007, 07:47 AM Hi Nessy & Dingo
I won't be leaving PTO I can assure you. I've made some great friends here and our journey isn't over just yet. He'll do 6 months on HD and then will have to do his parole time so we have a way to go before it will all be behind us.
Without the support of everyone on PTO I think I'd have gone crazy. Can't just walk away now :o .
Jeffreys Gal 09-05-2007, 05:47 PM Phew, thats good to hear you wont be leaving us.:D :D You have to share in our good luck when we have some.. .LOL
Is this the second last weekend visit? Wow, how good is that?
Please tell Cal how happy we all are for you both, Wys.WOO HOO not long to go now!!!:yay:
ROZ XXX
wysiwyg 09-06-2007, 04:13 AM Yes Roz, it is. I can't believe it will be only one more weekend after this one and I won't have to travel up there again.:) I can tell from his phone calls that Cal is as happy as I am.
Thanks for all your good wishes. I will certainly pass them on to him.
Wys
nortynou 09-06-2007, 06:43 AM Wys, not long to go hon!!! Each time I see this thread, I get excited for you!!! So what have you got planned for when he gets home? How are you feeling about everything??
wysiwyg 09-06-2007, 07:26 AM Nessy I haven't got a lot planned. I've been buying stuff to go in a gift basket for him so that will be a nice surprise and I've been stocking up on some of his favourite foods. I've asked him if there's anything special he wants me to get in for him and he says he can't think of anything. He just wants to play it by ear.
I can only get one day off work and that will be the day I pick him up so it will be the following weekend before I can really spoil him as much as I want to but we'll make the best of it. It will be wonderful just having him home and that's all either of us really cares about. :)
As for how I'm feeling; I'm trying to contain my excitement. Heaven knows how I'll be a week from now. I find myself daydreaming all the time about how it will be when he is finally home. We are both really big on cuddles and I never have to ask him to show me affection so that's top of both our lists - we are both looking forward to just being able to give each other a hug or a cuddle whenever we feel like it and to being alone. That's going to be the best part - just spending time together, not doing anything in particular but loving being in each other's company.
Michelle181 09-08-2007, 08:33 PM Oh Wys, How exciting for you both. Please do make sure you keep in touch so we can all follow your progress ! I imagine we'll probably even see Cal online ! He'll have to do something while you're at work. How many sleeps to go now? Yo must be beside yourself with excitement ! How wonderful for you both .
Lots of hugs, kisses and good luck for this new part in your journey. xoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxoxxo

That is such great news. I am so happy for you. All the finger crossing worked. ;)
I am sure you will have such a wonderful time with Cal. It is great to have them back believe me. I am having a wonderful time with my boyfriend now that he is here. Although it took us a while to get used to each other again but now things are great. I really wish you all the best. And hopefully you can sleep the next few nights. :D

wysiwyg 09-14-2007, 07:36 AM You're right Roz. I can't wait. Three days to go now and I am getting really restless. I'm not sure who is more excited, him or me. I can hear it in his voice when he phones me that he is so happy to be coming home. Nothing will ever separate us again.
Jeffreys Gal 09-15-2007, 02:31 AM WOO HOO...he's almost home!! Will you still be going for a visit this weekend? Are all the final details for the homecoming in place??.This is sooooooo exciting...:grouphug:

nortynou 09-16-2007, 05:52 AM Wys, I am so extremely excited for you!!! Its one more sleep to go?? Please pass on my love to Cal and I hope you both have a wonderful day tomorrow.
wysiwyg 09-22-2007, 06:46 PM Hi everyone,
Sorry I've taken so long to post an update but I've been a bit preoccupied ;) .
It didn't take long for us to get back into our old routine. Before I knew it he had pinched my coffee cup, left three sheets of paper on the toilet roll so I had to change it and tried to commandeer the TV remote :haha: but I wouldn't have it any other way. I love having him home.
For now he is confined to the house 24/7 but that's working for me too. I come home from work and he's done the washing and kept the housework up to date. I could really get used to this arrangement  .
The best part is I'm getting lots and lots of attention and loving it.
Thanks for all your good wishes and Cal says hi to you all. He may even post on PTO sometimes so if you have any questions post away and if he can help you out he will.
I will still be hanging around here too so I'll still be posting as well.
Cheers for now,
Wys
sandyg 09-22-2007, 11:30 PM hi guys, oh i'm soooo happy for you both!!!! I bet you could get used to having him keeping the place clean and having a cuddle whenever you want. Do keep in touch.
Is there anything that Cal finds particularly difficult to get used to being out of jail? He doesn't have to answer if he wants. Just might help me later.
All the best
Sandy
Jeffreys Gal 09-23-2007, 08:19 AM ((Wys)) thats great news that you have been too preoccupied to go on the computer!!!...Dont work the poor man too hard though:D he needs his energy for the housework...LOL...Just joking Cal.:)
So glad its all settled back to some kind of normality. It wont take long for the H/D time to finish, then your life can really be your own again. :yay:
The hugz and cuddles on demand sound great to me too!!!..cant wait for that part.
All the best for you both, you deserve it.

Lisa J 09-23-2007, 05:33 PM congrats to you both. I have to admit,I'm probably thinking along the lines of sandyg with my post, because one of the biggest fears I suppose I have is how much this is going to change my hubby. He's got to do 2 1\2 before the possiblity of parole, the kids are getting older and more independent, things are sooooo different where he is etc. Would be really interested in finding out how you and your hubby manage.
katykat 09-24-2007, 06:33 PM YAYYAYA wysiwyg, it must be great having him home, hope you are both really happy,
hugs Katy
Mr Wysiwyg 09-27-2007, 09:51 PM Thank you to all giving us their best wishes. Ive been home 11 days now and I havent enough hours in the day to do everything I want to get done.Home Detention Unit has pretty well left me alone. Since the 17 Sept. Ive spoken to my case worker 3 times and met her twice, One of those was for a urine test only. They do encourage me to ring them with any problems or queries but so far very few. The hardest thing I have found being at home 24/7 is at night. Around about 9pm everynight which was lock in at loddon I start to get fidgerty and pace around. Not used to the fact I'm not restricted to a 12x8 cell. Other than that I'm finding being at home FAR better than being at Loddon. I'm currently working out my employment future etc and doing all the house work etc so i'm keeping busy. If any of you have specific questions please feel free to post and I will answer if I can
Regards to all
Mr Wysiwyg
Lisa J 09-28-2007, 01:49 AM Its good to hear that everythings going well. My hubby jokes that I shouldnt find it to alarming to see him standing outside the bedroom door etc when its "muster" time. Got a bit of a way to go though before any chance of that happening. Good luck to you both.
Michelle181 09-29-2007, 07:35 PM Hey Mr & Mrs Wys,
Sounds like things are settling down for you both which is fab :) ........
I imagine there is a fair bit of re-adjusting for you Cal, finding new routines and getting back into household life and having your own space that's not dominated by the system and its' rules.
I wish you both the very best, and send lots of love and hugs for a very exciting future ! Onwards and Upwards !
Michelle xxx
Hey there Mr and Mrs Wissy,
Glad to hear all is going well. I am so happy for you both. Home sweet Home is each others.
wysiwyg 10-12-2007, 06:51 PM Hi Gang,
Sorry I haven't been on much lately. I'm finding that getting up at 5.30am for work is less than ideal (I am not a morning person) and, by the time I get home, the last thing I feel like is getting on the computer. However, I've missed my forum chats so I'll try to get online more often.
Things are going really well here but I think I'll post particulars about that on a new thread.
Once again thanks to everyone for all their good wishes. We both really appreciate them and, don't forget, if you have any specific questions Cal will try to answer them as best he can.
Cheers for now,
Wys
