My father was incarcerated in Angola Prison for about 15 years. His name was Thomas Lowdens Sr. aka Cadillac. He died in November of 2002. I still cry for my father. I would go with my kids to see him on Sundays or sometimes Saturdays. He would worry about us on the highway by ourselves for we had about a 3 hour drive to get to Angola. I miss going to Angola, and I miss him. He died at the Charity Hospital in New Orleans. He went for a checkup and went to congestive heart failure and kidney failure. That was the hardest day of my life. One thing that I thank God for it the fact that my dad knew his Maker and what lets me know that is I can remember going to the Church Banquets. One thing I didn't like it that he was unconcious and they had him cuffed to the bed in cuffs. I thank the guard for taking off the cuffs and letting him leave this earth a free man. I will always remember Angola and the times I had seen my father. My first time seeing my father, I was 21 years old with my oldest son and my father was in Angola. Love and miss you dad.
