Am I allowed to send him books or magazines?

You can get him a subscription to a magazine and you can order books to send to him thru places like amazon, books-a-million, etc...

they do however take a long time to get tothem starting out becuase they are very slow with incoming mail especially books and magizines the first few one anyways
