My husband went into the Terre Haute camp 8 days ago and still haven't heard a word from him. If anyone gets a chance to talk with your husbands could you ask them if there is a new guy in there that is 5'8" tall, dark hair with a military flat top and he's around 250lbs. I'm so worried about him because I haven't talked to him at all...is this normal for it to take so long to hear from them? Thanks

She has called up there, but the counselor has not returned her call yet. It would be great if someone could ask their fellah if they've seen him. You all know how hard it is to wait for that first call. :)

I have asked my husband to try and find him. I'll talk to him in the a.m. Be patient, it took my husband at least 9 days before he spoke with his councelor and he was transferred there. I know its hard but he has to get his call list approved which takes awhile. He will call. I gave your husband my husbands name so hopefully he will find him and my husband will let me know. I really understand how worried you are but you have to have patience because this is the beginning of many "waits" and the best you can do is keep your chin up and have faith...

Thank you all so much...I finally got to talk to Dustin today!!! It was so great. I think it made me actually miss him even more if thats at all possible because now i can't stop crying. the camp is the lowest security, FCI is medium, and USP is the highest in Terre Haute

My husband is at the Terre Haute camp and I'm moving to Terre Haute from Michigan sometime in the next 2 months but I need a job before anyone will let me rent from them but I need to be here to be able to get a job...does anyone have any suggestions...does anyone live here in Terre Haute that can let me know about the different sections of town...and also if they know of any 2 bedroom cheap apartments for rent. I have 2 kids ages 9 and 11 and also a little 8 lb dog. Thanks, Marla

There is a nice trailer park right by the prison. I don't know if they are renting or what the name is but I can find out Sunday when I go down there if you'd like.

It takes about a week for everyone to go through the intake procedure which begins at the FCI regardless of where they go.

Take care, Marla doing ok..just saw they moved him to "Holdover status " so he is still here in Pa until they decide to send him to his next destination FCI TERRE HAUTE........they moved him overnite becuz last nite before bed he was still @ the other prison...i was shocked..hope you are well & glad to hear about you moving there soon and seeing him weekly......i miss my boyfriend so much...i cannot see him till 2008..it is so hard going thru all of this ya know...V

I drove and the prison is really easy to find. Where do you live? I was curious why you can't see him until 2008? I know this is really hard for you...let me know how youre doing. Take care, Marla

My brothers good friend and mine now(smile) is serving time @ USP terre haute is time is short his release is Feb 2008. He is still spending time in time in the hole.:(

He is doing well but he is still serving time in the hole.
I wonder how long he will have to be thier.

:( I really need some helpful advice from my ladies who have love ones in terre haute I am dealing with a experience that I never dealt with before.
However I have a good friend name George @ Terre Haute he is my brothers good buddy and I received a letter from someone else from
George's unit who I know nothing about sending me a letter.
I know George would have never gave someone my address:o I am debating should I even tell George about this and upset him or just
keep it to myself?? I think that is really disrespectful tho for this person
to have wrote me behind my friends back and george is already in a hole
for fighting thats under investigation I really dont want to make any
more waves for this poor guy(not sure what to do)??????:confused:

I dont know what others might think about this I for one will tell you to ignore the letter he is in the hole and the last thing he need is something like that to upset him further. They treasure their friendship as a CO here i know for a fact that big fights occur through this sort of behaviour. Sometimes just verbal remarks this can cause a fight.

Just my thought on this but it comes down to what you want to do about it.

Thanks windygirl I feel the sameway you do , I spoke to my brother who is incarcerated at big sandy and he keeps telling me that his buddy george needs to know that :o because he needs to be aware someone is going thru his stuff:( to get your address and write you, but I just feel so uncomfortalbe to do it I have to really think about this windygirl because I
really & truly understand where you are coming from:( I will make a decision by thursday and let you know what I did.

Thanks so much for the advice and sorry my response is late but I did indeed tell george about the letter from the other inmate:o and he was
so glad that I did, apparently his cellie was going thru peoples things before which is why he was kicked out his previous cell and is now rooming with my friend george.:( He said had I not told him he would
of felt as tho I was hiding something from him, so it worked out he didnt fight the guy or anything like that, cause he said the guy has like 3 life sentences and is mentally challenged, they moved him now from his cell
so george is alone again. I am so happy all worked out he said that he felt
as tho that is something he should know about so I am just so happy it worked out for us.:thumbsup:
