Warm hugs & Pixie Blissings, Dingogirl Michelle181 08-26-2007, 06:59 PM Hey Roz, trusting that your visit was FABULOUS ! and that you got to sneak in lots of hugs and kisses. Let us know how it all went ! xoxoxo Jeffreys Gal 08-27-2007, 09:05 AM Hi all.:) Firstly, thanks to you all for the kind wishes for our anniversary. I had a great time with hubby, although it was very emotional, and probably harder than the last couple of times. I guess its because we have been apart that much longer, and still no end in sight. His parole app has been in for almost 6 months, and they are still waiting for him to get accepted into an appropriate res. rehab program. We are still waiting for him to get into one. Hubby was looking a lot better than i expected, after his little ordeal and trip to the hospital. They have dropped the doses of a few of his medications, and he is already starting to lose some weight, and feeling better for it. He has now got a little job for 4 hours a day, and he is so pleased with himself. The little bit of extra money will help out too. Now i have to try and find out when the family visit is happening for Christmas. Hubby thought it was in November., but the staff didnt know when I asked them up there. no surprises with that... I hope you are all well, and those that had a visit on the weekend enjoyed it.  Michelle, I owe you an apology hun. I forgot to take your number with me, but i will give you a call sometime soon.:o Dingo, hope to catch up with you somewhere soon.:D Katy, thanks for the good wishes, and i tried to sneak as many kisses as i could. SFA08, i have sent you a PM. Hope to see you all in chat on Wednesday night.:D Jeffreys Gal 08-27-2007, 09:07 AM Hey Wissy, how is everything going with the new job? Any better yet? Do you have any more news yet,or dates? Please PM me when you do.:) Em77 08-27-2007, 05:40 PM Hey There, Hope you both celebrated your paper anniversary in each others arms. Sounds like you enjoyed your visit. Hope you still feel great. Jeffreys Gal 08-28-2007, 11:04 PM Em, we did spend 4 hours of it together,:D but sadly not in each others arms for very long. Visits are very different up there.I guess they are like PPP visits..pretty shitty. Those revolting seats sticking out from the round table,(same as PPP) make it so you cant even hold hands without stretching a mile. A quick kiss hello and one good bye, but thats about it. At least we got to have 8 kisses over the 4 visits. We were supposed to have the last visit in the interview room like last time, and that was great. We had lots of sneaky hugs and kisses in there, but this time the stupid officers said we had to go in the visit area because they didnt have enough staff. Go figure. We were supposed to have a special visit, and it was booked almost 3 months prior, but i guess its just another thing to s**t us. I dont know when i can go back to see him again, its getting harder for me to leave each time. I need a while to get over this one first, i guess. Hoping tomorrows a better day.:( sandyg 08-29-2007, 07:22 AM Hi Roz, congratulations on your special day together. Yes It does seem to get harder to leave each time. I'm so excited on day one. then day 2 I'm sad already. It's very hard being so far away. Yes, their excuses on why you can't have special room for a visit sounds typical. Not fair to you though when you are expecting it. Oh gosh I read you rant on the rehab courses fiasco. Yep they don't have anything for someone who doesn't fit in the square it seems. Glad he has a job though, it does make the time go faster for them. What is it? can I ask? Not that it matters. Keep strong, my thoughts are with you Sandy Jeffreys Gal 08-29-2007, 11:52 PM Thanks Sandy. This was the first time I had visits on 2 different days.:( It is a lot worse after the second day. Glad to know its a "normal" feeling, but sad that you have to feel the same too, knowing the pain of having your loved one over 1700kms away as well. Yep, you got that right about the parole fiasco.Thats about what it is too. Hope to see you at the family visit, when ever it is...lol:D nortynou 09-01-2007, 06:46 AM Ah congrats Roz!!! :) Jeffreys Gal 09-02-2007, 06:40 AM Thanks Norty Nessy:D :D Hope everythings going well for you and the princess. nortynou 09-04-2007, 07:28 AM Everything is all good here!!! Princess blows you lots and lots of kisses!!! :) Michelle181 09-08-2007, 08:39 PM Hey Rozzy ! Don't sweat it darl. I imagine it must have a very emotional time for you. How's it going with the placement? Did you get a response from Logan? Let me know if I can find any others for you. Hope you are feeling better now Hun. The emotional rollercoaster is not much fun, but someone said to me take it a minute at a time - you never know. I have my fingers crossed for you and the whole parole debacle. Give me a call any time you need an ear or if I can help with anything in QLD.:grouphug: hugs to you and keep your chin up. xo Jeffreys Gal 09-09-2007, 08:23 AM ((Michelle)) great to hear from you.:D Sadly yes, he got another knock back from Logan House. I have told him next time any one wants to do an assessment, to tell lies all the way. Being honest has been to his detriment all the way so far, so now its time to tell them whatever it is they want to hear.Too bad if its a pack of lies.. grrrrrrrrrrrrrrr If you do come across any other places, i will give them a try, but poor hubby is just about over the whole thing at the moment.:( Thanks for the offer hun. I hope things are going ok for you. PM me anytime you like. Take care. ROZ XXX Michelle181 09-15-2007, 05:57 PM Hey there ! I concur with you. I am a firm believer that you get to the point you have to manipulate the system to get the result you are after. Ridiculous isn't it? And silly us for thinking a rehab facility was to help people !! It's like they expect you to have your problems solved before you get there so that they can just collect the government grants and wash their hands of obligation or responsibility. I really feel for you..... Can you PM me all the details and I will see what I can find out for you? Take care xoxo |
