I hear that When the inmate is on work release the state takes out a bit of their pay for the inmates family (like their childeren) does anyone know how much?? And how much $$ does the inmate allowed to make?? I'm not being greedy or anything but Chuckie was telling me about this in a letter the other day. Thats pretty helpful for the parents raisin' their kids with out their other half to help ya, know!!

Beth,
They take out 1/3 of their pay for dependant care and send it once a month. The amount you receive depends on their wage per hour. They make at least min wage. Over time also affects this. My husband currently make $7/hr and is working 10-16 hour days 6 days a week.
ADC also allows for an inmate check to be cut outside of this as additional funds to be sent to someone of their choice.
Hope this helps!

I have heard that the family (wife) gets 35% I am not sure if this changes with children. But they do make good money- My boyfriend make 7 and I think he is about to get a raise.
The state also takes I believe $420.00 a month for rent from the inmate, that the state keeps, because they are working.
hope this helps-
Amber
