Ok can someone please tell me what I should expect from this facility? He is not too happy about being here. Especially, No Smoking! Can I not send him books or anything other than stamps. Also, what should I expect on visitation. I am trying to look at the positives and from everything I have read this seems to be a safe facility. He is in the D dorm. Also, his last name starts with M, any idea when visitation will be? Thank you for any info.

Hey Steph!!
My fiance is also in the D dorm...small world!! His last name starts with an E...and, he has a visit this Saturday (day after tomorrow). I'm still not completely clear as to how the visits rotate, though. I know they get 2 visits/month. One on Sat. and one on Sun. I have a list with the dates of my guy's visits. Your best bet would be to just ask your fella when his are. He can probably send you a list giving all the dates. As far as the rules...
1.) Don't wear white.
2.) They won't allow ANY jewelry...other than a wedding set.
3.) NONE of your clothing can be revealing...in the least little bit!! Don't wear a v-neck, square neck, any type of lowcut or strapless/sleeveless shirt, shorts, skirts or flip-flops.
There are MANY other rules...but, those are the BIGGIES!!

Easterling hasn't been THAT BAD!! **KNOCK ON WOOD** R hates it b/c of the no smoking policy, too!! There seems to be less violence there, though...which is the MAIN reason I like it! They are VERY strict down there!! My love's not crazy about it...by ANY means! But, he's dealing with it...and, now, a year into it...he's managing fairly well. He's in school and is doing really well with that! That is my #1 suggestion!! Tell your guy to look into and enroll in any and all classes he can take!! It'll be a more constructive way to pass the time:thumbsup: !! Good luck with everything!! WELCOME TO THE EASTERLING GROUP!! If you have any questions...feel free to PM me!!

As long as you are getting the books thru like booksamillion, amazon or somewhere like that sent to him you shouldn't have any problems getting them thru...

I sent my fiance a couple of books last year. They were shipped directly from the publishing house...but, they gave him a hard time about getting them. Don't know why...but, it took them close to 2 weeks before they'd finally let him have them. They were there and he knew about it...they just held them for some reason. I've never tried sending him anymore...so, it may have just been a fluke, ya know!?!?

Ask away, Steph!!! That's what we're here for!!!

He is going to take some classes and I pray he stays out of trouble. We have 20 more months to go. Time is going soooo slow. I can't wait til our first visit. Although I have never visited a prison before. But I think I would go threw anything just to see him. Thank all of you for your information and any suggestions you have for visitation, please do tell. I can use all the help I can get.
