View Full Version : calling cards - Harris County Jail Texas chuckieschica 08-12-2007, 02:40 PM someone in harris county told my fiance that he could use a calling card to call me, ive never heard this so i was wondering if anyone had any info about this, thanx:thumbsup: KatyBee 08-12-2007, 02:55 PM Our county sells calling cards in commissary to the offenders so they can make calls. I would call the jail and ask them. The best I remember they were fairly expensive and there weren't many minutes on them but it is better than nothing. mc04399 08-13-2007, 06:29 AM If he is in Harris County (your profile says Houston) that is not true. PalmviewPrincess 08-13-2007, 11:48 PM You can maybe try going to this site www.correctionalbillingservices.com (http://www.correctionalbillingservices.com) you can actually sign up and prepay for a service so that your fiance can call your house phone or even your cell phone. All you have to do is register it, I have been using it for the past 2 months and it beats the costly phone cards in there. I usually prepay $50 and its an $8 processing fee, but it gets me almost 8 calls that last bout 15min. Hope this info helps u out a lil. :) javisbabymama 08-17-2007, 04:44 PM Also try infinity networks you can go to Ace and set him through there put as much money as you want for a $4.00 processing fee smilemakr29 08-17-2007, 09:09 PM When the hubby was in Lynn County, he bought calling cards at the commissary that were $10 for 20 minutes. Now, for calling Maine, that was great since the first minute for a collect call was almost $10. No clue what your rates are in state. cjSweetwater 08-24-2007, 12:11 AM Best call the facility and ask. Some contract with a particular provider. For instance, Tarrant County is AT&T and Denton County is InfinityNet. Just a suggestion. JaycieDnTejas 09-18-2007, 09:42 PM Parker and Jack County are correctional billing services. Yes, call the facility and ask first. |
