View Full Version : CRC Norco
joseandmelany1 08-09-2007, 05:47 PM Hi ladies, there is a possibility my husband will be transferring to CRC and would like to get some updated info, please. I have read some posts from a while back mentioning the rotation of visiting days, is that still in effect? What about Fridays?? Who can visit on Fridays? What are visits like? What about the food, setting, dress code, wait? What about family visits? Do they have them? What are they like, how long are they, how long between them, what kind of food? Any input will be appreciated. I have searched on this and read all I can, but some of it is years old, so I am just wondering if its the same. Thanks alot ladies.

I'm wondering the same thing. Our son was endorsed to go any day now. Did you get any information? If so, could you share?
Thanks.
ltongaofa 09-04-2007, 09:19 AM depending on the inmates last two digits of his cdc # will it depend on which day you are able to visit for that week.so i will post up sept. schedule tomorrow..cause i have it @ home and i'm @ work. but on fridays visit they begin processing @ 12:15 pm and visits go until 7:00 pm. And on saturday and sundays it starts from 8 am to 3 pm. Also make sure they don't have school or work during those times that u are going to visit, because if they do...u will not be able to see them till they get out of school or their shift is over from work. and clothes to wear...no blue no denim...and no clothes that are close to the colors of the officers like olive green or close to that color...and if u wear white shirt it has to have a collar or pictures on it...or just to be safe don't wear a white shirt. hopefully that helps a lil bit..and i will post up september visiting schedule up tomorrow.

Thank you so very much..Is there a phone number to call to get information? What's it like there? Are you assigned only one day? Does that change every month? Sorry for all the questions.
We are just so happy that our son is being transfered.
LynInSD 09-04-2007, 08:51 PM The visiting days rotate throughout the month. You don't get assigned just one day of the week.
Itongaofa, for the weekend visits, do you need to get there really early and wait in line, or can you come later and still get in? What's the line like -- are there a lot of people waiting?
Real Mrs Jones 09-05-2007, 01:36 AM LynInSd,
Weekend visiting can be a strain. The car line forms at the top of the hill on 5th street by the park. People are known to start lining up like 4 hours before the 8:15am start time. The line starts moving around 7:55am. If you come later you can still get in but remember visiting is only from 8:15am-3:15pm, in CDC language 9am-2:45pm. Weekend visits tend to terminate early based on other visitors outside. I prefer Friday visiting because you can get there 1 hour before the 12:15pm start time and still have all day until 6:45pm.
ltongaofa 09-05-2007, 08:19 AM Yes..Mrs Jones is correct. Fridays visits are much less crowded and you get thru much faster and easier. I have been to visit only once on a saturday and once on a sunday and it is twice as crowded and u need to get @ the line much earlier like Jones said 4 hours before 8:15 am..if u r willing to sacrifice ur sleeping time.so I prefer fridays the best...plus i'm fortunate that i'm off on fridays...yaaay!yay!okay..so bacc to Sept. schedule is : friday the 7th cdc# ending in 50-99, saturday 8th #25-49,sunday 9th 00-24, friday 14th 00-49, saturday 15th 50-74, sunday 16th 75-99, friday 21st 50-99, saturday 22nd 00-24, sunday 23rd 25-49, friday 28th 00-49, saturday 29th 75-99, and 30th 50-74. so remember the last 2 #s of his cdc is the number you are going by to tell u which day u will be able to visit him. once you are there to visit you can pick up a visiting schedule. remember to be there early..early is always good..and always double check your clothes...no blue..no olive green..and no shower shoes/slippers...slippers/flip flops are fine..but not shower slippers. i hope that this info helps a little bit..and good luck...and God bless you and your family...lydia
Poway 09-05-2007, 10:08 AM ltongaofa,
Thank you so much for the information and the schedule. It was appreciated.
LynInSD 09-05-2007, 08:40 PM Lydia and Mrs Jones -- thanks for the great information! Weekend visiting sounds tough; I think I'll take a day off work and try to visit on a Friday. Even though the traffic up from San Diego is probaby worse than on the weekend, the visiting time seems like a better deal. I didn't hear from my husband all last weekend, but he called this morning and left a message on my machine and said he would call tonight. Sounds like they were on lockdown over Labor Day!
