Hi All,

I have been reading your threads with much interest, and am looking to chat with any women who have been in the prison system themselves.
I am going through a length court process at the moment and am terrified of being convicted and sentenced. I have two little girls and a husband who lives overseas for most of the year. I would love to hear of anyone's experiences and also any support groups out there for people in similar situations to myself. Thanks a bunch !:)

I am sure there will be some help for you here as They have been great help to me. Sory I cant help (wrong gender and all) but im sure someone here will be able to help. Just post any questions you have and before you know it there will be an answer.
I am going through court at the moment myself so I know how you feel.

Glad you found us and welcome to the PTO family.
Unfortunately I have not been in th system - My husband is inside.
There have been a few women with children on the Aust forum who were seeking advice about their up coming sentence. i will look for the posts and link them on here for you.

This is my first experience with the law / courts and I find that the whole process is a mistery to say the least. You guys provide the only forum to discuss these issues which is fantastic ! Let me know if any of you live around Brisbane......... :thumbsup:

Hiya Michelle and welcome, this forum has proved to be god send and a saviour for my sanity. I know from first hand experience the fear of going through court and sentencing, to say that i was scared was an understatement, i was terrified, thankfully i was ok , but my hubby is now back inside. All i can really say is try to keep positive, prepare for the worst and hope for the best, thats what i did and even though we ended up some where inbetween at least we were prepared.

Thanks for your posts ! Geez it's hard to stay hopeful isn't it ?
And what is with our legal system????
If you can believe, the police just continue to submit holding briefs for lack of evidence ! I just canot believe this shite !
Meanwhile it continues to cost squilions in legal fees and my life is in turmoil.
We seem to be moving through one adjournement after another.
