A close friend of mine died at Allenwood FCI yesterday.
No news of how or why other then the newspaper said an ambulance was called out to the prison for a severe head trauma. It was NOT a health problem:mad:
My Honey Called tonite. I told him to be extra careful
I worry when I hear of people being killed behind bars
Hope all your loved ones are safe.

Butturfly,

I am so sorry to hear of the loss of a dear friend. Hopefully soon you will get some answers. Remember the justice system moves very very very slowly. But you want to get those responsable so be patient.

I lost my son in prison to so I know what you are going thru, the not knowing and no control as far a what happens next is the worst.

Keep the faith, that is all we have right now.

You and yours are in my prayers.

Butturfly... I am sorry to hear of your loss.

I worry about my husband as well... It is hard being seperated from the ones we love already and then add the worry to that.. ugh.

My son suffered a serious head trauma at the hands of another inmate. He was air lifted to the hospital. By helicopter it was probably 30-40 minutes away -one way so a helicopter had to get out there and back. In the early days the shock and grief were unbearable when we didn't know if he would make it and if he did how damaged he would be, but by the grace of God he has made a miraculous recovery. There is still memory loss but compared to the alternative that can be dealt with. When I read these posts they tear at my heart for the family members that have to deal with this.

It's so sad to read that a life was ended in such a manner. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you that have lost a loved one in this manner. I will pray that justice is done as it should be and not as it has been in many cases.

My ex-husband was murdered at Allred in May of this year. Trying to get the details but they have continued to lead the family to believe it was a suicide. If I hadn't pursued records, we would have never known. He was having trouble with a cellmate and told authorities he had to get out of there. Guess they didn't care.

isn't it ironic how corrections profess to protect the public, but when it comes to inmate on inmate in certain cases they do not care. Recently an inmate was killed by his cellmate at Oklahoma maximum security; his death went undiscovered for two days! If I had known OK maximum security operated this way. I could have asked my loved one to transfer to this facility so "we" could check out overnight and return next day undetected (sarcasm)

This kind of thing happens more than you'd think. In our area recently a man was arrested for driving without an insurance card. I think he'd done it before maybe, but he was taken to jail for this. He was put in with another inmate who was a violent offender and was murdered in jail. Even more recently a man was denied his diabetic meds while in the local jail and died. Prison and jail are dangerous places, let there be no doubt.

The camp where my sons father is at has been on lock down now for 10 days because an inmate was murdered there. It's so sad that craziness like that has to happen while they are incarcerated.....

My thoughts and prayers go out to those who have lost their loved ones...I often worry about my fiance too...he is a real quiet laid back kinda guy and is been held in a supermax until sentencing...I know he has had issues there but won't really tell me, it's so scary cause there isn't a thing we can do...we would talk sometimes 3-4 times a day and I haven't talked to my fiance in 2 weeks cause of the phone costs, Im going crazy not knowing how he is doing:angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::an gry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::angry::ang ry::angry::angry:
