Has anybody been able to get a visit? ive been trying 3 months wth no luck. Does anyone know how long it is suppose to take for the inmate to talk with their counsler?

my husband was there for three months and just talked to his counselor. he is waiting to be approved. i have not had any luck in the last month on getting an appointment. i spoke with someone today from visiting and what she told me was they are going to make appointments only 30min long that way they can have more appointments since it is turning into a reception only site.

hey luvdrew!!! I went this weekend to lancaster and finally got to see my love. I was very disappointed on how inadequate their system of processing is. Anyways, does anyone know when it will completly turn into a reception center?

does anyone know how long the mail takes when you send it to the p.o. box? i've been sending it to the "44750 60th street west" adress and it takes about 2 1/2 weeks. but lately i noticed my boyfriend isnt getting everything i send him.

I took your advice and this last letter I sent to my friend was the street address and not the p.o. box that was back on July 16, 2007 it's August 13th and still no word!! But it should'nt matter with the physical address as long as you include the the inmates name,cdc number, yard and cell they still should receive it. I remember you mention that he was in the hole the could be scanning and reading his mail more closely you never know it's just a thought....

It took about 2 1/2 weeks for my hubby to get his things through the po box. he got everything i sent him except for some books. we all sent too many so they made him ship them home here haha. My hubby was just transfered the chuckawalla valley on monday night. I finally go to talk to him today and it made me so unbelievably happy. :) :) Hope this helps with the po box i never had any issues sending his letters there.

Guys is it me or is the mail behind realllll bad? I know it can take 3to 4 weeks but's been a little over 5 weeks!! Is it just me ladies??? No one in the mailroom will respond or answer the phone!!

My honey just went to the reception center Lancaster so, what did I need to expect? How long does it take to get approved at lancaster, I guess I have the answer to the mail situation, that bad huh! 3 months to see a counselor and visits are at 30 minutes plus you need to make an appointment, Did I get this all straight? Help with any info....

My husband just got moved yesterday 8/24/07 fromt twin towers in downtown la, to the receptions center in lancaster, ca.
Can anyone tell me the address to write to an inmate there, and do I use his same booking # from twin towers? I tryed to call and check the website but haven't had any luck, or I'm not looking hard enough,lol
Also how long does it take for him to be processed so I can go and see him

My son went to Lancaster Aug 20. Got a letter he say they are in 24 hr lockdown. he sent me a form for visiting approval but said to wait until he sees counselor

Who do I send the visitors form back to, my hubby ? it has no address on it? For Reception Visits?

sweets no they will have a different cdc # you have to call or wait for him to write you to find it out. reception is the hardest part because there are no phone calls. you can write letters and send pictures. My hubby was there for three months and has been transfered to chuckawalla valley and it is much better because we can talk all the time. the visits at lancaster are behind glass for 30min (this just changed). sierra I am not sure where to send the form but if you call the visiting department at lancaster they can help you and tell you were to send it. Hope this has been some help oh and jamom i personally would not wait to send the visiting form in i would send it asap. It takes about two weeks to get approved anyways so it cant hurt.
