Hello Y'all!

Can we request an appeal trial to be in a different court in a different county? If so, what do we have to do? The judge who read my son's verdict/sentence has made it clear he doesn't like him and stated he has the worst juvenile record he has seen as a judge. Also, he made some rude remarks about other issues. I think my son's case should be appealed at a different court or a higher court since there are other issues involved. Let me know what y'all think. Thanks!! PEACE!

Cyndie,

All appeals are heard by state appeals courts first. They are different courts, with different judges. --------Ken

Ken,

Will there be state prosecutors too? If so, different prosecutors? Thanks for your quick response! PEACE!

Cyndie,

Yes there will be prosecuters too, & I'm not sure if they will be the sameones or not. I made a more detailed response to this post in the "The Trial" post too.-------Ken

Thanks Pamela!

I will keep you posted. Right now, I am trying to talk to our attorney. He's involved in a high profile case and won't be able to visit with me till next week. I will continue to leave msgs so he won't forget. Take care! PEACE!
