well i just thought i would share an idea i had with all of you....

i'm always trying to think of cute things to do for my honey. the holidays are coming up, his birthday, then valentines and the next thing you know it's our anniversary! so anyways, although it would be a little more expensive then a normal gift, how cute would it be to name a star after him! or us, like Jess & Rob's star!

anyways, i overheard a commercial for the international star registery and it made me think wow what an original idea. of course i'm probably the last person that's thought of this, but i just thought it was a cute idea and i would share it with you. you can go to starregistry.com for all the info. i think the cheapest package is like $60 bucks, but i don't know it might be worth it.

That is a very cool idea!!! I haven't heard of any other ways to do that. I bet that will make him feel special.

That is neat Thanks I will do it then tell him that way when he looks out of his window at night he can just look at a star even if it isnt ours and think about it!

I think Joanna posted something on this before. She bought a star for her husband also. It is still a great idea, I think.

I bought stars for my mom and now-deceased stepfather a few years ago. They loved it... well worth every penny!

That is cute. But since Marty has been gone for a whole year now, I've been buying gifts for him every single holiday that he has been gone, so when he comes home, we will have one big celebration together. Skylar (our almost 3 yr girl) loves helping me buy things and wrap them.

I love this idea! I have heard about people doing something like this but I was wondering how do you buy the star, or where do you find the info on doing this? PLEASE PM me and let me know how I could go about in doing this. Thanks

I did this for my baby for his birthday!!! I named it after him, and he loved it. There is one website, starnamer.com I think and if you get the cheapest package, the one I got, they can email you a certificate for only $25. It was the best deal I saw, and pretty good I think. I have a color printer and all, and it came out great, the only thing is, you have to have Adobe Reader installed to view/print it. You can download it for free, that is what I had to do, but it takes like an hour! Grrr! LOL I am sure he will love it if you do it!
