Hey girl! I am pretty sure that the mens and the womens facilities are pretty much the same. I know quite a bit about the mens. My man has been there for 8 months and 13 days. What ever you would like to know I can tell you how the mens is and you should be able to relate. So just message me and let me know all of the questions you would like to know and I'll answer them to the best of my ablility! It is not that bad of a place. Don't get me wrong you still will be locked up and away from family, but I believe it could be a lot worse. It is basically like a rehab. Some of the residents today when I went for my visit called it an Adult Daycare w/ a whole lot of rules. LOL! I hope the best for you and your family!

Hello, Shell
I was very happy to hear from you!!:D Your man has been there along time! Did you know my name is shelly too? How long did it take b/4 you got to visit him? How many people can go see him at one time? Do you take your Kids? Mine are 7 & 15 years old. Do you think it would be ok for them to come? My mom wants to know how they go about the phone calls? We are new to this. Everyone in our family has cellphones. My parents had to get a home line b/c I am on house arrest @ there house. What she wants to know is: when I go down. Will she b able to talk to me on their cellphones? She would like to disconect her house phone. Because if It is cheaper we need to save as much money as we can. This whole mistake has cost us all alot. (Money & worries) Did I tell you I have been clean for 20 months? Also I will have to do 9 months @ rpf. Does anyone get out early? Someone said I will have 2 wake up @ 4:30 in the morning. They also called it stinch camp. I have never stinched b/4 and I never plane on it. This is the first time I have ever been in trouble! It scared me so bad the first time I was arrested I spent 36 hours in jail, I have never touched that drug again. I ask my parents to put me in brigeway. It is a rehab. I spent 18 days there. It is a really good place. It took me 18 months to pay off my lawyer. I am disable, and am on disablity. My disablity check will stop when I go down. I want to say thank you 4 hearing me out. I have been here @ my Parents for a while now. I get on here everyday. If you need anything let me know!!!!!! My husband will be taking over my spot here @ Prison talk when I go down. It makes me feel better knowing he will have yalls suport!!! Thankyou all for taking care of him & his problems,& my mom too!( You want you can e-mail me @ shellydvll@yahoo.com) Thankyou again!!! Your new friend Shelly2

My man has been there a long time, and I am so ready for him to be home. We are trying to get him home now, but I don't see it happening soon. He will be on five years probation after he gets out so they refer to him as probation plus. So because of all of this he can't get out of the program on his 270 (nine months) you have to be judicial transfer to get that. You'll learn all about this I promise. Well anyway it's cool your name is Shelly too. I have a friend that could be joining you sometime soon. She was sentenced to RPF, but is on the run now. I don't really know how she got her self into all of this mess. I meet her after it had already happened. I did not get my first visit with my fiancee until almost forty days after he had been there. He went in on November 16th and so he hit all of the holidays. He graduated from orientation on December 21st which was his birthday and I got my first visit with him on December 23rd. It was an awsome Christmas present and birthday present for him. That first month was awful. The most people that has seen him with me at once was five, but I have seen about 8 to 10 people visiting with some of the residents. I visit every Saturday and Sunday some facilities are not lucky enough to get those priviledges. He had to work his way up through the system also get get that priviledge. I don't have any kids, but everyone just about brings their children. It is no big deal. It is pretty laid back. Of course they don't want them standing in the chairs or running around, but your kids will be fine. Also they are old enough to know how to act I'm sure. I'm telling you now the phone ordeal is crazy. You will have to get to the facility first and put them on your phone list before anything can be done. You should be able to call the cell phone. My fiancee calls my cell because that is all I have also. He also calls me at my grandmothers because she has a land line. Luckly the state has just switched over phone companies because the old one you had to call a land line. Well anyway back to the cell phone thing. Your family will have to prepay on their cell phone for you to be able to call them. I have the number if you need it to Global Tel Link. Calls are costing me about $5 per call. I'm so glad you have been clean for 20 months. I know how the addiction game is. I have been clean since November. Ten Months now, and I love being sober. It's hard, but I love it. No one really gets out early from what I hear, but if you do everyone in your family including your self will have to fight tooth and nail for it. Yes they wake up at 4:30 in the morning and are not allowed to go back to sleep until 6pm at night I believe or sometime in the afternoon. They will keep you busy though, and if they don't keep your self busy. It will help your time pass. Yes people call it snitch camp and you will see what that is all about. Don't break a rule because someone will snitch on you. Liek my old man has gotten in trouble for dumb stuff. Not pushing his chair in, getting an extra milk at lunch, staying up after lights out. That is just some examples. It pays off to not get into trouble you have more privledges! If you need anything else or have any other questions I will try to help. Good luck and keep your head up through all of this. Nice meeting another Shelly too. Do you spell it the same way? I have only found one other person that spells it the same way!
Take care!

I know what you mean about when you were on drugs you didn't get along with your family. My oldest sister is 12 years younger than me. I am 25 she is 13, and I also have two other sisters 12 and 3. Me and all my sisters are tight now, and I actually like hanging out with my mom. I still have a few friends that are still around. They still smoke weed, but they know how I feel and never pressure me. I actually pressure them to become clean! I'm sure you'll get used to the 4:30 ordeal. My man will be home in 60 days oh how I can't wait. I'm starting to get excited thinking about it. My best friend is in rehab through drug court. She was addicted to Meth for probably ten years or more. I believe she is actually gonna straighten her life up. I hope the best for her. When she is on that drug we really don't have a friendship. She got to come home for one night when her grandmother died, and it felt like I had the old her back. It was awsome. It felt good hanging out with her also. Well I am waiting on my man to call. I just loving talking to him and visiting. He was been locked up for over 300 days, and I have not missed one day writing him. I am very proud of my self for that. I have not missed a visit either. Well girl the first thirty days will probably be the worst getting used to everything. I wish you well. I'll be here for your family. If they need something tell them to let me know and I will try to help them.
Talk to you later,
Shelly1

Shelly, I hope you are doing good!!! It was very good to see that you wrote me. It really makes me feel good knowing you are here for me and my family. Your story made me feel better. I did cry because knowing someone else is going threw what I am is sad. I read it to my sister (twin) She feel the same way I did. Family is inportant. To forgive is even greater! You have alot of sisters. Your mom reminds me of my twin. She has four kids. All girls!!! Her oldest is 18 her youngest is three months! The middle girls are 16, 4! I stoped at two! Hers and mine are a hand full. Yes we both have 16 year olds, born the same day! No it was not plained! We are so close to each other Her kids call me mom and mine call her mom. I could not think of live without her. Thank you Shell for being her for me right now! I means alot to me to have suport from someone in my shoes. I know how your man feels about hurting you and your family. I know I wish I could take it all back. I am so afraid of leaving my children and family behind when I go. It will not be long and yall can put this all behind yall! I know you got to be lonely! So if anytime you need to talk I am here! Your new friend Shelly 2!!!

It depends on if he is a flat timer or not. Is he eligable for a judical transfer, and if he is he will be eligable for his 270 days. He also does not need to get any cardinal rule violations. He should be able to call once a week while in orientation. If you have any other questions let me know? My man just got out last month. He did a year, and was not eligable for his 270day release. Good luck. It will go by pretty quick, but it won't feel like it until it is over. There is another girl on here that her old man is in Little Rock RPF. I think her name is Blue Eyes or something. Her name is actually Stacie. Search under Arkansas RPF or DCC, and you should be able to find her. Good Luck. I wish you and your family the best.
