View Full Version : working for transfer to toledo
Jaysmom07 07-26-2007, 02:54 PM Hi Everyone. My son is in allen correctional facility in ohio, just starting a four year term. Trying to find info on hardship transfers. Any suggestions? They tell him he has to be there a year before he can fill out the form. Is this true? or are there loopholes? appreciate any help. Does anyone have a loved one at toledo facility?
mindi1 07-26-2007, 08:17 PM I have a loved one in Toledo. Did you get my pm i sent you last night? ttyl
Jaysmom07 07-27-2007, 01:48 PM Mindi1, no, sorry I didn't get your pm. I'm just learning my way around this site, and not sure what I'm doing yet. I can use all the help I can get. Getting too old to learn new things I guess :).
mindi1 07-27-2007, 10:39 PM have you talked to aci about getting your son transferred? and if so when do you think they'd be able to try, you see my fiancee is in TOCI, and i've told him about your situation and he wants to help tell you on how to do it so he can hopefully get into TOCI, but i don't really know all the details,my fiancee gets out in November so then you two will be able to get ahold of each other. but in the pm, i was wondering if sometime, when i go and visit my fiancee that you'd wanna go see ur son in aci, i'll drive ya.just let me know what u think. ttyl Mindi
Jaysmom07 07-28-2007, 10:58 AM Mindi, How are the conditions at toci? Some guys told my son not to transfer there because they treated the inmates badly. He has to wait until his security level is droped to minimum from medium. they are telling him that could take 6 mo to one yr. I guess he has to fill out this form and stuff, not real sure what all it entails. Thanks for your offer of a ride, I really appreciate it. Nov. isn't too far off, hope all goes well for him, and you. Let me know about toci, and their visiting, ect. please. Thanks
Jaysmom07 07-28-2007, 11:01 AM I know a couple of the corrections officers at toci, and they tell me he could be transfered now if they wanted to do that. Sometimes, you just don't know who to believe. These guys say yes, They say No.
mindi1 07-28-2007, 12:23 PM It doesn't really seem to be too bad, the only bad thing is the visits are only 3 hours there when at ACI u get a full time from 8 am til 3. which i miss, but oh well, like he'll be home soon in my arms again, lol. but he did say that he thinks its better in allen then toci, some of the co's are nice though at TOCI. I've never had a problem with them. One of the CO's is originally from Allen County. but like i said if u ever want me to take you to see ur son and im in ur area let me know.
Jaysmom07 07-28-2007, 12:50 PM I did get your pm Mindi, Thank's. Do you know why he says aci is better? Is he close security, or minimum? Being in toledo, it would be easier for me to visit.
