Hi. I am new to this. My son was just sentenced to a very long time - he will probably end up at Florence. Unfortunetly he was pressured into taking a plea - he would rather go to trial but everyone said he would be found guilty & face death penalty. so he took the plea. it about killed him since on this offense he is innocent. :(

Thanks, Samantha for the welcome & sympathy. I know that everything is in God's hands, but as a mother some of this is so hard. It is really tearing me up inside. Been taking my grandkids to see their dad while he is still local. then when he
goes to wherever, it will be hard to take them very often. it'll also mean long drives from where I am. but we will do what ever we have to do.
I am still learning how to navigate through all this :blah: :eek:

Im not in the same boat as you. I decided to take a couple of inmates as penpals but I can fully understand how it is to be without a loved one. Trust in God and he will help you get through this.

My son has not been assigned to his final location, he is at Alhamra right now. He took a plea bargain and got 4 months and 10 years probation with the first year of probation in a DUI court program, intense probation guidelines. Get a good attorney for your son and fight if can, Mammasita
