Just Wanted Everyone To Know That I Am Very Disappointed This Morning Because I Am Not Going To Have The Money To Get To Go And See Adam Tommorow Like I Thought. This Really Sucks The Big One Because I Was Really Looking Forward To Getting To Go And This Was Going To Be The First Time I Got To Go By Myself Because Hes Mom Or Sister Couldnt Go. Plus This Was Going To Be The First Visit Since The Anniversary Of The Day He Asked Me To Marry Him. But Its Okay I Will Just Start Saving Now So I Know For A Fact That I Can Go And See Him In August----shea
And I Didnt Realize This But Me And Adam Has Been Together For 19 Months Also And Only 28 More Months To Go Before He Comes Home.

I am so sorry. I know he will be very disappointed. How far do you have to go to visit? With the price of gas, that is a major expense if you have to go very far. Keep your spirits up.

i have to drive about 4 and half hours it wasnt the gas that was the problem it was getting to rent a car but i will be able to see him next month one way or another

Shea.....I am sorry to hear that you didn't go see Adam....which btw, I hope he is doing alright? I know how it is when you have a long drive and no funds to make the trip....I remember all too well when T was down at Easterling and I made that drive. Thank goodness he was moved closer....

What is the possibility of him talking about this to the case manager/classification officer person and putting in for a transfer to Limestone maybe? Just a thought....it is closer, isn't it?

well i dont know i hope that maybe now that they got a new warden that maybe he will be able to get a transfer like he is wanting because things down there are terrible right now. he is doing good he is suppose to be getting his surgery for his ear anyday now so that will be good i just hope that maybe with this new warden he will be able to get his transfer now because he wants out of there so bad.

Yeah, Terry used to complain about ECF all the time...he says it is one of the worst - if not the worst of all camps! He hated it....... Things will be better soon, I hope, Shea! I will keep praying for a transfer....even if he got moved to like Staton or Elmore it would be closer than ECF.......so keep praying for something closer!!!

I am so sorry you didn't get to visit. I understand completely. My fiance is still in the county and his visits are on Fridays. I live 2 hours away from him and I couldn't get off this past Friday. It was a terrible day. But just think we will be even more excited the next visit. I can't wait til he is sent to the prison so I can visit on weekends. Seeing as that is the only time I can be off.

I COMPLETELY understand the being frustrated with visitation!! I ONLY work weekends!! Fri, Sat & Sunday!!! So, it's REALLY difficult for me to see my fella. I average about once every 2 months. Sometimes, I'm able to luck up and see him once a month!! Just all depends on work...as I have to use vacation days or deferred holidays to go see him!! I HATE not having my weekends free...so, I can visit at least once a month!! The visits are DEFINITELY better once they get to a camp!! Longer, CONTACT visits!!!

So sorry about the visit. Wished I could just see my brother. He's been at Kilby now for almost a month. He's waiting for a transfer.

I will see my son one more time, then I will not be able to see him until Thnaksgiving or Christmas, it is just too far, 12 hours.

yeah and the thing is he got mad because i didnt get to come i thought he would have understood bc last time me and his mom had to pawn some thuff to get the money to go and he gripped because we did that so i thught well he will understand boy was i mistaken but he will get over it im sure

I would hope he gets over it pretty quickly!! That's not fair to you for him to be mad or upset with you over it!! ESPECIALLY, considering what you and his mother had to go through last time!!! I can see being disappointed!! Hell, you were disappointed b/c you didn't get to go! But, there's NO SENSE in him getting MAD about it!! It couldn't be helped! If you could have...YOU WOULD HAVE!! I, personally, think it is awful for him to feel like that and get upset! Heck, don't go visit at all and see how he feels......you pawned something you probably worked hard to get and he wants to bitch about you not coming to visit because you didn't have the money? That is not right! Sorry to sound so hard on him about it but Shea that is ridiculous!
