Do you have the picture saved as a file on your hard drive yet? One of us can walk you right through these steps. I am just learning computers also, but I can manage this procedure fairly well. I won't be on too much over the next few days though, so anyone else feel free to jump right in if you see Steve on-line! :) We love pictures around here! :)

steve: you have to make sure the pic is no larger than 64x64 pixels, and it has to be saved as a .gif or a .jpeg file. if you have any sort of simplistic photo software, you should have no problems doing that. once you have the photo sized, go to "edit options" in your user menu and at the bottom of the list, there is a place for you to upload the avatar. that's the easy part. the hard part is making the photo look ok at 64x64 pixels. good luck, and i can't wait to see it! :D

Nobody has a real excuse for not having a photo "avatar". There's enough scanner amoung us, to put one online or via email once it's snail mailed to someone.
