Hi all,

I need some help. The lawyer has asked me to bring him some imfo on this. But I am a little confused. So I thought somebody here may be able to point me in the right direction.
Has anyone ever heard of pulsive disorder control??
I have searched and searched, but the only thing that comes up is obsessive-compulsive disorder (ocd).
I also need to know more about the drug lorezapam- from what I gather it is an sratonin re-uptake inhibotor. Then I have read this in one of the posts.

There have been several documented cases of people taking cetrain sratonin re-uptake inhibotors and experiencing severe side effects: including psychosis, violent behavior, suicidal behavior, and at the very least sexual dysfunction.

Where does this come from?? Where can I find these documented cases?

I take Lorazepam. It was prescribed for me to help with the anxiety. I've been on it for a couple of months now...and I've had none of the side affects you mentioned above, but then the dosage is only .5 mg. And it has helped me quite a bit.

Hugs,
Marie

It probably is obsessive-compulsive disorder but I don't know if lorazepam treats that. Did you do an internet search on it? Do a search on "negative side-effects of serotonin re-uptake inhibitors" and/or "negative side-effects of lorazepam" and you'll probably find stuff, but you can't depend on how reputable the information will be that you'll find on the internet as far as that information. However, go ahead and see what you can find, but be sure to save the urls and the names and locations of any professionals you find associated with the websites so he can check the information out.

It could be Impulse Control Disorder. Check that out on the net, you should find some information.

ICD is basically when people act before they think.

Hmmmm Mrsdragon- ok I've looked at Impulse control disorder- seems that alot of the different disorders sound somehwhat simular. I have now read about, OCD, ICd and bi polar. They all have some of the things I have seen.
I have asked Ricky about this twice now, and both times he has said Pulsive disorder control. Im still so confused
He also explains the disorder as a social disorder, meaning he dont want to be around people.
A social disorder???? Im just lost. I dont know how much time I have to get the lawyer imfo, I dont know if I should copy a bit of everything or what I should do.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks for all the help so far, you guys are great. :)

Thanks Toi_ama- Ive looked at this too. I guess I've come to the conclusion I have will have to ask Ricky more questions. Impulsive, Compulsive who knows, he just says pulsive. I will get the meanings on all Ive read. Seems to me in all my reading pulsive disorder control contains a bit of all of these.
It means he has a hard time contolling compulsive or impulsive???
Who knows....Thanks for all the replys guys. Keep them comming if anyone has anymore suggestions. :)
Until then, maybe I will get more specifics if i get more specific with my questions. I will ask him in a letter he should get Tuesday, and post what he says. I just hope I get better answers to dig into.
Thanks again.....

I agree, get specific information from your guy...ask him to have them write it down and get the proper terms. Mental health terminology changes on an almost daily basis as various "older" dianoses are split and given their own names.

lorazepam is a used to treat anxiety and is given to people with a mental illness frequently. The only real side affects that it has is it can make you sleepy, but definately not aggressive. Its a relaxant, and is sometimes used as a sedative. It is also used to treat compulsive disorders, where the person is can get frustrated or anxious. Compulsive disorder is where the person does things over and over, like folding clothes, checking to see if something is still there, stuff like that. A social disorder is what his attorney would probably like him to have. People with a social disorder usually commit crimes, though its normally petty kind of stuff. It also falls under a sociapathic personality. If you would like to know more, you can email me, I have a degree in mental health. I would be glad to try and answer any questions that you may have. Usually people with sociapathic traits have compulsive disorders. It is very common, and is treatable is diagnosed properly
