That is the Ion Scan, and unfortunate that becoming the way of the facilities. It's already being used in the state facilities... It can be the lotion, hand sanitizer, perfume or money that had residue. And not to say that this is what happened with this lil gurl but after dealing with the DOC for 12+ year on either side, I've seen some of the craziest s*&^ ppl do with their children so yeah they will be testing them too.

They had that when I used to go visit @ Rikers. That was around 2 years ago when my hubby was there. You can have residue from touching money or all sorts of other things but that's why they are supposed to let you go to the bathroom and wash your hands If it goes off and then get re-tested. If it was just from money or something superficial then you should pass... But if it's something in your system you will still fail even if you scrub your hands. It had gone off a few times for me before but when I washed my hands I made it through just fine. I had also just put commisary in to my hubby's account so I had been touching money. Either way it is still embarrassing for it to go off on you when you know you don't touch anything!

And Ladycee - I totally agree! I've heard of the most horrendous, horrific, horrible thing someone did with an infant daughter. They stuck a bag of something (whatever it was it was some sort of drug) into her croch. It wasn't just in her diaper. That poor baby. I was so disturbed by this. I have no clue how they caught this but thank God they caught them and took the baby away from the mother and took that lady away in cuffs. That poor innocent child. Some people are just so sick.
