hi...im not quite sure how to do this ahah...well it seems i've got myself into sum trouble...hence the reason im here...had some trouble in my early teens so this isn't my 1st offence..but thats when i was under 18...i just turned 19 in april...got myself into a whole mess of trouble...long story short... im being lead to beleive im going to end up in a prison...so here's my question, im being told there's a correctional facility and eat gwillimbury ontario, Canada... i'm not too sure if its tru or not, ive been trying to digg up information on it, but have had no such luck..apparently this is where my brother in-law, and my entire family is sayin im going to end up, they say if anythign ill end up in that prison, can anyone try and help me digg up information about it ? and what can i expect..its my 1st time (and last) going to prison..im kinda scared shitless here and don't kno what to do/think. any insights of what its gunan be like will be greatly appreciated..im kinda wurried its gunna be exactly like it is in the movies ahah tho it is canada, and im sure the movies always over do it..so if u can plz help me out here.thanks soo much

If you are doing federal time (2 years or more) you will be going to Millhaven for an intake assessment to determine your security classification. Otherwise you can look at the list of provincial jails by going to Ontario.ca and selecting the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services. Once you opened the page you will see a link on the left saying "where to find facilities". Those will be all the jails in Ontario.

There are no detention centre's, jails, or prisons in East, West or Gwillimbury, so I've no idea what jail your relatives are speaking of.

As per your age, and minimal record, there may be a slim chance of prison time. I'm assuming you have a lawyer, who will be negotiating a plea arrangement of some sort.

Depending on your charges and plea negotiations, I doubt you'll see prison, and if you do, any sentence under 4 years and your going to camp. Based on your address, after reception in Bath Ontario, near Kingston (Milhaven) where you'll go to the work range, eat great, lots of TV and yard, you'll be there 2 months, then you'll go to Beaver Creek Camp just outside of Gravenhurst, next to Muskoka Airport.

As a first time offender, as long as your charges are not violent, you'll only serve a minimum of 6 months in custody, any sentence longer than 3 years, you must serve 1/6 before day-parole (halfway house).
