I have been designated to surrender to this facility shortly. Can anyone tell me about it? Check in procedures, etc?

Go to the Federal forum for imore specific info and also the Federal prison web site for more info.
If you do a search in the upper right hand corner of your screen( on this page) and type in Terre Haute Federal Prison camp you will find threads/messages that relate to the Terre Haute FPC.

I came across your message and thought I would inquire. My husband is at Terre Haute Prison Camp. He has only been there a few months - on a 24 month sentence. We seem to be getting conflicting information on furloughs. Can you tell me the timeframe and process for getting a furlough pass?

Thanks

My Boyfriend is starting his fourth month at Terre Haute FPC. I've been to visit twice. It's an ok place and although he says it's crowded, everyone does have a bunk in a room. He's getting along fine and works with the electricians. He says the food is either pretty good or horrible, but the commisary helps. The visiting rooms are alright, and they have a smallish area you can go sit outside to visit at. If there's anything else I can help you with, please let me know!

Hi Shep,
My boyfriend is at Terre Haute and works with the electricians...is that what you mean by the powerhouse? We've heard that if you have a large restitution owed they're less likely to grand a furlough. And word on that?

LOL...I met WOWO myself for the first time when I was visiting a couple of weeks ago. He's still at it. He's a CO, tessa, famous for saying "whoa" as in "whoa there, mister".

LOL! Too funny. I thought it stood for some "inside" term!
My son is trying to transfer to Terre Haute FPC......but most of what I've heard hasn't been very positive. :(.
Hey we could "trade" places! My son is in MN and we live in Illinois..you are in WS and your guy is in Ind! Sounds like a fair "trade"! :)

I spent 21 months at the Terre Haute Camp. Try to get to the camp by noon. It is a good idea to get processed so you get into the camp the first day. You do not want to stay overnight at the pen. You will need to get dropped off @ the pen. because that is where the processing starts. The drive rwill need to leave immediately so say your goodbyes. I was inside that place too lonf. Let me know your questions, I would like to help.
