Jerry,

Your right about that link, it's a great source of info. I've used it many times, it is really comprehensive, & easy to use. I've spent hours on it, & the first night I found it I think I spent half the night on it without even realizing it. Some of the links are old & are no longer good, but thats only a small amount maybe 2-3%. I am interested in how prisons run in other states compared to Calif. & have found a tremendouse amount of state & federal info. Besides the prison links, they have law enforcement, judicial, criminal, DP, etc. -----------Ken

Ken,

When I first found this site, I was like a kid at Christmas. Each click resulted in valuable information and I too spent hours researching.
Of course, at the present my main concern is helping my brother in Arizona..but having been a successful 'jailhouse lawyer' for about 13 years, I acquired a keen interest in the civil rights area of crimianal justice.
With a special interest in finding one other case of a defendant awaiting trial (Federal), that was processed as a convicted criminal . Hopefully, in your journey through the maze of 'injustice' you have heard of such a case.
Your posts have been both informative and enlightening...and I look forward to sharing 'our' inside knowledge with other PTO members that have no clue of what really trnspires behind the walls.

Jerry,

Thanks for your kind words. I agree that we both have much to offer regarding our own personal experiances being locked up. You've got my respect bro', I can tell from your post that your a stand up guy, & you've been there too. I have seen some jailhouse lawyers really help some guys out. I used one that helped me get 3 months credit restored by helping me through a credit restoration hearing from a SHU term I did. It's fairly common to get credit restored from going to the hole, or Ad Seg, but it's not that common to get your credits restored from a SHU term as they feel losing your time credits is part of the punishment. This guy helped me in filing the right papers, what to say & what not to say, etc., I'm sure you know the routine. I gave him my T.V. & walkman when I left, & it was well worth it.

Menolly & I belong to another list of prison activist, & she beat me to posting your brothers story on that list, so she's helping to get the word out about him, & your request for any assistance, & a general request for people to write to him, & drop him a card. My brother in-law has done a gang of time at Florence & Winslow, & other AZ facilities. I am trying to get in contact with him to see if he has any ideas or advise, but as of yet, I haven't found him, but I'm still trying.

Regarding the case your interested in, nothing comes to mind right now (but that doesn't mean anything, LOL), But I do some case research for other people here at PTO, so I will keep my eyes open. I also get e-mails daily from; The 9th CC of appl, The U.S.S.C opinions & decisions when they are in session, Calif. appellate court decisions, Calif case law, All the federal courts of appeals, sports law cases, entertainment law cases, documents of cases in the news which are court filings, indictments, etc., & I go over them, & then file them for future references. I also just got (for free which really surprised me) a great search engine. This thing is fantastic, it searches 11 different search engines at the same time, listing the results from each (Lycos, MSN web search, Yahoo, Alta Vista, Fast Search, Find What, Hot Bot, Ah-ha, Mamma.com, Netscape web search, & Open Directory Project) then collates the findings according to relevency, giving links to each site with an explanation for each one, & saves all your searches in case you have to come back at a later date. I use this as much as I use Acrobat Reader for PDF files. It really helps when doing research. So if you come up with any kind of specific info on a case your interested in I can do a search & send you what I get to add to what you find, or if your interested I can send you the info to get the newsletters, &/or the search engine for yourself.

Take care, your brother is in my prayers.-------Ken
