if you dont mind me asking what book did you send? Maybe there was a problem with the type of book. Hang in there it took me a month before i heard from him as well. He will write as soon as they get store. he will receive your materials.

First thank you soooooo much for your help:thumbsup: Yes I was able to trace the book it was shipped on the 18th and delievered on the 25th. It was sent back to Barnes and Nobles arriving on the 7th without a reason as to why. My books were in good taste all informative etc so thats not it. I sent him writing supplies along with the receipts from the books the mailroom insist on telling me that they pratice the seven day rule but I find that hard to believe when I hear other wise.

What is the seven day rule?

Well the rule is that the inmate by right have to receive their mail within 7 business days. However I know for a fact that this is not happening I think they tell you that so that you can get off their backs. So it's hard to say at this point he has been moved three times since he's been there and he's only been there for a little over a month in reception. Maybe that could be the reason why it's taking him so long?

yeah they do not follow that rule. it take my hubby about two weeks (if lucky) to recieve my letters.

The hole is ASU it's not a normal cell, your property is taken away no T.V, no radio you are allowed writing materials, hygeine products, legal paperwork, I think you can still exercise sometime during the course of the week, no phone calls etc.

Well after Three weeks and 4 days he received the writing materials, I can truly say from experience it takes three weeks plus for them to receive mail that's horrible!! Still no books but hopefully soon:confused:

I believe in the beginning they take all of your property and then later on you request what you want.
