I'm inquiring information on the education opportunities that there are for someone that is in prison in kansas. Since the cut backs in the prisons they no longer have a chance to better them selves while doing their time. My husband is look to serve 5 more years and he is intrested in taking some college courses if there is any opportunities for him i would be greatful for any information thank you.

Try the University of Ohio. They are one of the few left that use paper instead of computers with corrispondence courses. They have a seperate department for inmate college courses. It is as expensive as a State College. My son is taking courses and he is a level 4. He just finished a history course which can be transfered to any college.
The CEA Correctional Education Association can also be of help.
I'm a Certified College Planner professionally so let me know if I can help.
