I just wanted to say I went to Ventress this past Sunday (Father;s Day) to see my son and it was great! We had such a pleasant visit and everything seemed to be alright at the camp with everything. He did not tell me of any major problems. He gets to have a family day for graduating Sparks. He was too late last year so I will get to take food and watch him graduate! I am so excited. He has already given me his menu that he wants me to cook and bring and it makes it feel a little more like home. We have had 2 family days in the four years he has been at Ventress and I always look forward to them a lot.:o

I am glad your visit went well. How do they get to have a family day at Ventress? My son's parole date is June 26. I hope we will be having family day at home, but in the event it does not go through I would like to know what the criteria is for their family day.
