I guess this is a vent thread!!! My man was shipped to a county jail just
1 1/2 weeks after getting transferred to Ventress!!! He was there for 5 weeks, now the DOC is saying that he isn't allowed to recieve a care package because he did not recieve it within the time allowed. We didn't want to send it, if he wasn't there because who would ever know what happened when it could not be found on his return. Now that sucks!!! Who ever makes the rules for The DOC is very unfair!!!!:angry: Who makes these rules? Or do they just make thim up as they go?

Did you send the package to Ventress? I know they were very firm about the package had to be postmarked by May 31. I know he needs his things. Who have you talked to there? I am so sorry this is happening.

I didn't send his package because he was in the county jail!!!! He was sent to Birmingham to Jefferson County Jail on April 25th and sent back to Ventress on June 6th. We didn;t know weither or not to send his package.

I hate that you weren't able to send his package...The DOC sets dates and they won't let him have it after those certain dates. I think they should give you alittle longer to get these packages. I think the next hygine/care package comes up in October.

Do you have any idea when the next food package is?

Its suppose to be in July/August. There are rumors floating around they may not get the food package until December.

I hope thats not true that would be awful!
