Anyone that could answer this question would be great.:D

I am going to see my love super early Saturday morning and I am travelling by bus. I am going to take the Q101 in Manhattan to Hazen Street which is suppose to be the Rikers Entrance. Now comes the confusion. It states that I have to transfer to the Q101R to get me across the bridge and to the Visit Center. Does anyone know exactly where the Q101R stops?

According to the MTA map it states the bus stops at Rikers Island, goes through the parking lot, through the Queensbridge Plaza and back around to Rikers. I don't trust this 100% because according to the .gov site the Q101R originates at 28st Bridge Plaza South. I was just wondering (as this is my first time going out there) if anyone has taken this transporation and can help with my confusion. I am just anxious to see my honey and I want to make the ride as smooth as possible. I will ask the bus driver as well but it's sometimes more helpful coming from another person.

Thanks in advance:D

I've always taken to Q101R from Queens Plaza so I'm not completely sure of how far off from the entrance to Rikers that the Q101 would drop u off. But looking at the mta map, the intersection of Hazen St. and 19th Ave looks like the last stop for the Q101 before it goes back around. From that intersection, you can just walk (on the right side of Hazen St. going toward the island) past the gates and you'll see a little concrete bus stop shelter where the Q101R picks up passengers from the parking lot. It may be a block or lil more, I'm just estimating! Hope this helps somewhat  Good luck with everything!

Well i have been taking to 101R from queens plaza and if you are coming from brooklyn on the E train you should get on the 3rd cart, go upstairs, go through the turnstyle and make a right. go up the steps and go straight when you hit the next corner make a left and you will see the bus stop on your left hand side. Hope that helps you.

Just an update everyone, i found the best way to get there for me. I take the D to Rockfeller, catch the F or V to 21st in Queensbridge and take the Q101R. Thanks to everyone for their help.

We do alot for the ones we love.
