Hi Ladies,
Im new to this site, and would like to know information on Norco.
I have looked on several of these threads, and I havent found information.
I guess what im looking for is:

How does the visiting work?
How do you find out, when you are able to visit? Im already approved, how long does it take for me to be on his approved list?
What about Family Visits? Do you have to go through their counselor or what?
What about when you go to visit, do you have to line up in a line like the other prisons I have read about?
Any other information, I would greatly appreciate it..

There is a CRC Norco Guide (http://www.prisontalk.com/forums/showthread.php?t=202919), and you can find some info in there. At most prisons, if you are already approved to visit you can just show up and they will let you in. For family visits, you have to ask your husband's counselor if he is allowed F.V's, and if so the F.V. Coordinator will help you schedule a visit.

Hopefully someone who visits at Norco will come along and help you answer the other questions.

Hi,
Thanks to you both, I was looking for info too but couldn't find it.
Is there a huge difference between rules etc at CDC and Norco?
I'm having a hard time trying to get the answers.
Thanks again, and good wishes to you!

;) Hi, my loved one just left there I can give you a great deal of 411. First of all since they only have 1 visiting yard for the men the visits are not every weekend it rotates according to the last 2 digits in his CDC number. They visit Fri, Sat, and Sunday. The Friday visits are from 12-7 , Sat - Sun are from 8-2:30 or whenever they decided to start terminating. You may want to call and talk to Officer Brazier to make sure you are on his visiting list still because I have seen many people get refused visits because they are being forced to reapply once they get to CRC. You can get ahold of someone on the phone Mon , Thur, Fri- Sun. It is much more difficult to reach them on visiting days though. They do start forming a line as early as 4:30 on the weekends where you park car on the side of the road & sit until the local sherrif comes and escorts you onto pirson grounds. On Friday the line starts about 10am. If you do visit on friday you need to be inside the prison by 2p or they won't let you in until after count clears at 5p. On the weekend you need to be in the facility by 10am or wait until 12p You can take up to $30 in singles and silver change. Family visiting happens very slowly. You'll need to talk to the counselor and see how slow he is for that aspect. I hope this information is helpful
