I found out that hubby is gone to DCC today. County called and told me that he was leaving today. I don't know what facility that he is going to they told me something about DCC Little Rock. We was working on a ADC bond and had one day left to go and it was going to be approved. :( They wouldn't let me say goodbye to him or anything :(. I called the Arkansas Department of Community Corrections and talked with a really nice lady named Rachel. She was really helpful in giving me information about their programs. She told me that my hubby would be in lock-down for 3 days and then in orientation for 30 days. She doesn't know for sure how long he will have to do. It depends on the Judgement and Commitment papers. I hope that he doesn't have to do the full year but if he does we will get through this. The lady told me that we can have family counseling as part of his program so that we can better understand his behavior as to why he done this. She asked if he had a drug and alcohol problem and I told her no, which he doesn't. She told me that they want the family involved because it not only gives the inmate a sense of not being alone and it helps them want to do what is right. I really like this place that he is going to. The thirty days of not being able to see him is what going to kill me but the 9 days he has been in county has flown by so fast. He has to see a counselor and if doesn't interreact with them that is only going to make it difficult on him. I tried to get him to see a counselor before he went to jail and he wouldn't do it. Please say a prayer for him that he will cooperate and he can get his life back together again. Thanks for listening.

Well, I personally can't give you any information on where your husband is going, but someone on here my know something about it. What I can tell you is that you will make it through this. There have been many times I really thought I'd never be able to get out of bed and face the day, but I did it and I keep doing it every day.

You have definitely found a great place here. This is an amazing group of people who will share information, stories or just let you whine and complain. We can all relate to what your going through in one way or another.

Hope your head up and remember, you always have friends here!!

The simple fact that they want to work not only with him but include the family is a great thing....it shows they care and are willing to take the time to help break a pattern. I am glad she spoke with you to calm your fears.....that in itself is a humane act. I would feel good about the place he will spend some time in.
