View Full Version : Appealing Parole Decision jessicarabbitt 06-01-2007, 05:53 AM Anyone out there know anything about appealling the parole boards decision, has anyone done it ???? please help! jessicarabbitt 06-01-2007, 11:44 AM I attended my husbands parole review hearing and he has had his parole revoked, But the parole board had quite alot of false information, and the prison parole officer (parole assistant) well lets just say she didn't do much assisting. There also is the fact that his mother was supposed to have a community assesment at her house for him and this never took place. and that is just to list a few things. anyways I feel that my husband may have grounds to appeal this decision and if so if anyone can give me any information, or personal experiance appealing a parole board decison it would really help. do inmates have any access to any type of legal help in a situation like this? robbreid 06-02-2007, 07:44 PM Not a very easy thing to do. Unfortunately, if you were not prepared for the hearing, the best thing is to postpone until you are ready. After the fact, it is very difficult to overturn a decision. You are appealing to the board that already turned you down. With that said, you need legal advice. I used the most amazing attorney I've ever met in Vancouver. Janet Winteringham 604-605-4300, if she can not assist you, she will direct you to the best person for the job. You can also use legal aid to pay for the legal services. good luck, Robert. jessicarabbitt 06-03-2007, 09:15 PM Thank you so much, i will give her a call. |
