can anybody please tell me about family visits at sierra conservation center? what can i expect? we have a two year old. what can i bring for him? can he bring his blankie? can we go outside at all? what kind of things can i bring for him to play with? any replies are greatly appreciated. i am just completely in the dark about this and just want to make it easy on myself :)

i know there are plenty that have been for family visits, and nobody can offer some support? please give me some sort of idea of what to expect. ive posted in a couple different threads and nobody knows hmmmmm:confused:

I haven't been fortunate to get a family visit yet, however, when I was researching it on this site, I found someone that had had one...I searched "family visits" and found someone from SCC and PM'd her and she gave me good information. I am sorry no one has replied to your post...I have posted several times without a response. Sometimes, it just gets overlooked, that is all. Don't take it personal. Try typing "family visits scc" in the search and PM some of the women that had one!! Best of luck to you!! (-:

well i dont have familiy visits at your prison, mine is at donovan but i can give you some advice. whatever questions you have, make a list and send it to your husband. there is a CO just for family visits that he can get all the info from. Do that as soon as possible just so you are ready! Also, i have a 14 month old baby...i was able to bring him his blankie, his sippy cup, his bottle, diapers can be out of their bag but wipes must be in a new and factory sealed bag. try taking everything like shampoo in clear plastic containers. No powders, no glass. you can bring in some make up. nothing electronic (blow dryers, radios, batterie operated toys etc.) at donovan, they have a locker that whatever i couldn't bring in, they let me use...like for my keys and i forgot about the glasss, and my makeup is in a glass container, so the co just put it in the locker. Also i could bring in condoms and soft cover books. Some small toys like a ball and such. if you have other questions, please let me know
